Would you consider putting the values into a .ini that we can tune as we wish? I'd like to tweak them for minimum chance of salvage unless you headshot or double-leg, so we don't end up getting so many, many millions off of selling unwanted salvage. (I'm at 70m after the campaign. yeah.) And thanks for modding this up! Great tweak mod.
Thank you for the wonderful mod, i have a request however, is it possible to create an all 100% salvage across all salvageable options. and sorta cheat version. i thank you for the work youve done so far an in no way am i trying to come off as demanding or nit picking. i know modding this game in my experience is very difficult. and i thnk you for the work youve done truley but was just wondering if you would consider a version with 100% salvage on all catagories.
This would actually be a great way to get started with modding. Creating a "cheat" version of this mod just involves changing some numbers (no programming required). If you install the mod tools you can find the file that needs to be modified in Content > Objects > Mechs > DerivedMech. In that file, under "Salvageable" you'll find the 3 values that determine salvage probability. PGI's official tutorial explains all the steps involved in creating a small mod like this one: https://static.mw5mercs.com/docs/MW5Mercs_Mod_Editor_Guide_(v2.2).pdf
I'd also request a 100% salvage version. The "Logical Lore Salvage" mod that gave these options in one version was broken by Kestrel Lancers and not yet updated. I got MW5 through GOG and am not sure if/how I can get the mod tools to try to mod it myself, as PGI says you need to download through the Epic Launcher (which I don't have). [EDIT: was able to download the mod tools but don't have enough free drive space to install, so won't be able to mod myself.] Thanks!
Is there a way to increase the salvage chances on mechs were the pilot ejected because they lost all their weapons? It feels like those would be the easiest mechs to salvage.
