I like the font patch but it misaligns the weapon group array so that anything past 3 is not lined up anymore. It makes weapon group 5 look like it's in 6.
I kinda wish I could preserve the paper doll while having HTAL active but I'm an old MW2 hound and I'm used to the 3D model complement. Mostly just mentioning for my co-op partner.
I know this post is over a year old, but no one else is talking about this. It's misaligned because it's in fact "not" loading the font properly anymore, but the UI elements are being stretched as if it was. Are you sure the font is actually what's in the screenshots?
EDIT: So now I delete the font patch, (leaving the Heads Up Display) and NOW the font loads properly? And properly aligned? What's going on here?
I've used your source to change every widget individually to vanilla fonts and also removing and fixing any layout issues on the way. I've successfully managed to change every widget except the font which display a target's name and range when targeted. See the picture below:
I was wondering if you could tell me where this widget would be located at? I really dont think I've missed anything.
That's from the MechTargetBox widget or something like that but it's breaks when you try to override it in the editor. Instead, there's some code somewhere that manually changes the font of that widget rather than override it iirc. Might be in the HUD widget blueprints somewhere, could do a search for the font name .
Would it be possible to add an option to swap the position of Player/Target locations, to more closely match older MechWarrior titles? Is there a way to "theme" the salvage/interaction bar too? Other than these two very minor issues, this is the perfect HUD mod for my Steam Deck, everything is legible even at 1.0x scaling!
Hi! May i ask, is it possible to change the color of remaining text and weapon cooldown bars from basic cyan-ish to green, to match other parts of the HUD? I really like your mod, but it's rather concerning me that some parts have improper color. If you can make this happen - please do so, i would really love that, and if you know how to do it but don't want to do that - please could you tell me how to do it, so i can change the colors myself? Again, will be very glad if you will help with that!
Would it be possible to make an option to either restore the original position and size of the Dialogue box, or to make the position and size customizable?
Ever since the first iteration of the mod, the text never has never scrolled fast enough to keep in sync with a lot of the dialogue, often times with the box disappearing before the scrolling even finishes. The size of the box is an issue too. I understand decreasing the size was necessary to prevent getting in the way in the center of the screen, but perhaps its new position isn't exactly the best placement then? The smaller size of the dialogue box can sometimes cut off text, as well as overlaying on top of longer objective lists, (mostly via Coyotes mission mod and or looting a lot of crates) making it impossible to read.
Da HUD. With this new font, setting texts and crosshair to be green, and making borders and background transparent, I have the most clean, visible and, let's say, MW like HUD ever. The silver tape on Ryana's mouth, plus no intrusive dialog texts and objectives are priceless. A whole package in one light mod.

EDIT: Any chance of a YAML-compatible version?
I think the hotfix broke the mod. It's causing CTD to some people using my modpack with it, and I have all other mods on except HUD.
nevermind, it was user error....somehow.....Ever since the first iteration of the mod, the text never has never scrolled fast enough to keep in sync with a lot of the dialogue, often times with the box disappearing before the scrolling even finishes.
