** WARNING: DOES NOT WORK CURRENTLY WITH OR WITHOUT NEW DLC**
I am working on it, but as it needs to be rebuilt from scratch, it may take awhile. I recommend using this websites tracking tool (button at top) and Nexus will notify you when it gets updated.
I wonder if there was ever a spreadsheet created with the values of the weapons in game, not so much that this mod will be updated, but if we have the info available so we can work on something similar...
Ok, I kinda wanted to return back into the MW5 after the DLC came out, and I am really wondering if this mod will be updated and actually if it still works? I really loved the idea and realization behind this exact mod so it would be really cool to have it in the updated game... :)
So I just slapped this together myself. Just create a folder for it in the Mods folder, called "GunsOfKerensky" for example. Inside that GunsOfKerensky folder create a "Paks" folder and a "Resources" folder. Put worcottle's pak file into the Paks folder. Then go copy one of the mod.json files from one of the other Mod folders into GunsOfKerensky, change the info as needed in a text editor for the mod.json file. I even made a 128x128 pixel icon png to put in Resources like the other mods have.
Check the mod's description more closely ("Compatibility"). I have already addressed this.
I'm not eager to steal the thunder from other modders, but perhaps later after the December this year? I would prefer to contact the original author and get permission first. If you want to write to them and encourage them to collaborate with me, I'm fine with that.
Enjoying the mod so far the extra oomf added for PPC and AC is a welcome addition ontop of the rest, tho I do feel SRM and LRM need a slight damage increase still they feel underwhelming compared to AC and energy weapons.
Regarding missiles: That is a common report, but many do not realize they are comparing apples and oranges here. Damage per ton, missiles literally already deal MORE damage over time than ballistics and energy weapons. The reason it may not feel this way is because missile damage is spread out like a shotgun (also like LBX) compared to ballistics and energy which is more pinpoint and surgical. Some missiles also benefit from being able to lock on while others deal a lot of damage for very little tonnage and/or heat. Ex. Two SRM6s do massively more damage than a single AC5... its not even close... for about the same amount of weight. LRMs do half the damage of SRMs, but they benefit greatly from utilizing indirect fire and lock-on capability (two things ballistics and lasers can't do). But all factors must be accounted for when balancing, not just raw damage output per weapon. Trust me when I say missiles really don't need any more of a buff. Each weapon has its strengths and weaknesses.
technically, yes, although i have been distracted by ongoing events. everything on the "to-do" list is still on the table, with one exception: I finally heard back from Kirby (the realistic velocity mod guy). He will not be making a compatibility patch with me due to time constraints. No ill will towards him, but that puts any sort of "hyper realistic" mod low on the priority list; this mod is focused more on improving gameplay first above all else.

You think you can also rebalance Yet-Another-Weapon -- that which adds the RACs, the MRMs, the H/L Gausses, etc.?
