Same here. I'm in Career mode and I don't really think it works. Only <10k payout with max tier 1 or 2 low end stuff. That's not how it's supposed to work, is it?
Is it possible you might consider a version that removes/nerfs the magical fairy pixie dust found in crates that repairs and reloads your 'mech in the middle of a mission?
I'm not sure if it can be totally removed seeing as the repair/reload is the only option for salvage crates in Instant Action missions, so maybe reduce it to 1% or something.
I mean I like the repair bay mod, that seems somewhat feasible for quick and dirty armor repair during a battle, but these magical crates that spot-weld armor plates and reload your ammo bins...
+1 Love this idea of better loot, its almost not worth it now for an extra small laser and 10K cash. But yes magical heals is getting a bit too far removed from reality. Will wait till magical heals are removed.
I'm referring to the repair/reload that occasionally comes from the salvage crates in the base game instead of getting loot or c-bills, not from your mod.
From your screenshot it looks like crate contents have a probability of getting picked based on weight, so whatever weight value the original existing repair/reload crate has; massively lower it's weight chance of being chosen.
They're not overly common in career/campaign, but I do find myself encountering them more than I'd like.

Never picked up anything of real value. Maybe you need to start a new game? or it doesn't work in campaign mode....
