YAML has thermal and it's own version of night vision. Also you can turn down your brightness in game to knock off the shine. Not ideal, I know. Not sure what happens if you load this with it or on top of it, but I'm gonna find out tomorrow. xD Running various graphics enhancement mods really screws with the middle of the night vision even at night, so I'm hoping this will solve that.
Can't get either version of the mods working with the Steam version. When I press the NV key there is no visible effect at all neither with the color nor the monogreen versions of the mod.
Howdy dark. Love what ur doin with the mod and ive been looking for a particular thing that used to be in reloaded and i have no clue how to do it myself. is there any way that u can think of to do Thermals. i.e. black/white or white/black or even (if u wanna be complicated) blue/red IR vision? i mean its 3015 and the inner sphere forgot how make thermals work? was sad to see reloaded go but other modders have picked up the slack on most of it's fronts the only thing i havent seen return is thermals.
I have a question: The compressed packages for Night Vision Green view has a Grey view version, like, your old version. Or is there any option I didn't see to change IR colors? Thanks.
Get the Improved Hud, Ultra Visuals, and Improved Weather and you have the best Nightvision without the "Flashlight Blopp". Just tried it out and its great!
Download .7z compressed file (i.e. ClearNV_IR_G-144-1-0-1589424122.7z), open with 7zip, extract compressed folder (i.e. ClearNV_IR_G) to Mods folder from MW5. Run the game, go to Mods and activate it. Restart game and enjoy.
Ive tried a variety of these mods and I am also running the hud with enhanced zoom. They seem to conflict and the night vision only works in the when the advanced zoom is up. When zoom isn't up everything is near black when night vision is enganged.
Love the mod but while using this alongside the Weather Improvement Mod I'm having trouble seeing on the very dark maps (v1.1 of Weather Improvement Mod made night time a lot darker). This is with both versions of your mod, Night time on the Volcanic Biome for example is like taking a walk in rural Iraq while there's a New Moon without NVG's... this is with and without Night Vision turned on. Other than that this mod is really good.
I have been playing around with a new version that removes all artifacts excepting the pixelation which appears to be baked into the post process. I am still not very satisfied with it. It's difficult to strike a balance between too bright on daytime maps and too dark on nighttime maps. We really need thermal in this game already. The assets for thermal are in the editor but it's beyond my skill level to implement a second vision mode and I don't like the effect enough to replace NV with thermal since the blueprint doesn't seem to be fully functional in terms of actually differentiating between hot and cold.

Doesnt work.
Reloaded is overriding the following mod content: "Game/Objects/Mechs/_common/VisionModes/Material/NightVision_MTL.uasset"
