Edit: Nvm, I just used the save editor. Is there any way to reduce the prices? I'm perfectly happy with cheating. I tried looking around to see if I could open the .pak file, but I have no idea what I'm doing with unreal modding.
I really like this mod, but for some reason it's making my mechs overheat. Heat slowly rises while just literally standing there. Any clue why it's doing this?
It really shouldn't as I did not alter any base game component i.e., the mod cannot interfere with something else. What does the UI say about your Mech cooling? The AG modules are based on heat sinks but with a 0 cooling value, maybe some other mod is making them -1 cooling but even then it really shouldn't be passively heating up.
Thanks for the reply. The UI shows the temp just slowly rising on the mech from 1 to max heat. It takes about a min to reach overheat/shutdown on mechs unless I fire weapons then it heats up super fast. I'll try going through and redoing mods, maybe try loading them in a different order might help.
I apologize I was imprecise, I meant what the mechlab UI says about cooling. By what you describe, you either have no cooling (cooling value being 0) or way too much.I see 2 possible reasons for this:
1. Maybe you only equipped AG Modules? They have no cooling value and could lead to this happening. 2. Maybe you have way too much cooling and the game fails to calculate. (like many 100 heatsinks)
Oh the mechalb UI said it was running (depending on the amount I used) anywhere between 10-20 reduced per second. In the process of reinstalling all my mods now so maybe by the time I get it all situated this evening/tomorrow I can share what build's I was using.
I did a test with a bunch of heat sinks and I couldn't reproduce the bug.

With the information I have, I can't really do more.I will wait for the build (and mod list if you don't mind). It might be some other mod interfering. You could also try messing with the load order. This mod doesn’t depend on anything so it can be loaded dead last.
Alright, so my theory is that something is tweaking the cooling values and sees the 0 value of the AG module and zeros the cooling amount. Can you try to confirm that this only happens when an AG module is in play? That the heatsinks are fine? If so I will give some heat value to the AG module and that should fix it.
Just ran 3 different variants in a mission. Used combination AG and heat sinks and had the over heat issue. Used just the AG and had overheat. Used just heat sink and no overheat.
Done for the night but will try and mess around with it some more tomorrow. Maybe try some different versions of the AG module instead of just the 100.
Edit - I just played a mech with none of the equipment installed and it did the same thing with the overheating. So not sure whats going on with all of this.
Sorry for the late reply, my day job is taking a lot of my spare time. With what you are saying, I am starting to think something else is the cause of the issue. However to put this thing to rest I could compile a version of the mod where AG Modules are just like heatsinks with the negative weight.
Also I had an idea and I tested what happens if you have absolutely no cooling (flushing all coolant). And heat is stable (it doesn't go down, but does passively go up). So your cooling value is somehow negative.
Sorry I can't help much more. But feel free to still update me if you find the cause.

Could you share the build in question?

This is where I have the modules installed - https://imgur.com/a/Hh9QFYf
Here is mech lab UI - https://imgur.com/a/kGmcKI0
And here is mod list with order loaded - https://imgur.com/a/B0Hr7U7
Not sure if I should move load order around? Everything else seems to be working fine, so if its a conflict Im not sure.

Depending on if you care or not about economy, you can also give yourself the parts using the "f10" console of YetAnotherMechlab.
The item names are like this UnobtainiumHeatSink100 or UnobtainiumAG100
