mods\CrosshairsExpanded\Resources If the crosshair max scale is too small for you.. you can modify it to your liking here by opening the gui_config file.
unloaded all other hud mods and while i can enable and change the settings of the mod in mod options the changes dont take effect no matter what i do, mission restart, game restart, reload etc.
I'm running 1.1.361 and 23 other Mods and Crosshairs Expanded works fine. I can change them, the options all work etc. The only advise - like other will give you - is the INCREDIBLY ANNOYING thing to do which takes a bunch of time, being unload EVERYTHING ELSE and see if the Mod works by itself. Has there been any updates on this mod? Downloaded it recently to try and use it with von hud. I have some other mods that dont alter the hud and could not get it to work no matter what.
hi, having the same issue, I checked with the load order manager, and have put crosshair mod higher than anything that overwrites it, (so nothing does) and all I get is the position of crosshairs options, but no c.h to choose from.
saw this coming up in posts in different communities so thought i would help out. I use a Edit Mod load order software that allows me to change my load order of all my mods. There are a couple of good ones here on nexus.
the key is if you are using a mod that changes the whole aspect of the cockpit touching a lot of the assets (i.e. vonHUD or HUD DIY) you want to make sure to have it load first in your load order. then load crosshairs expanded after it so it will overwrite the necessary few asset files to function properly. If you have the mod loaded and changed the crosshairs in mod options screen but it is not showing up in game this is why. Mods like vonHUD rewrite a very large number of files so should always load first before these that re-write only a few files in the same aspect. This way you get the benefit of both mods. I use this with vonHud and Better lance status without any issues.
Easily one of better mods. What the mod description does not mention, is that you can actually change transparency and size individually. Now finally my aiming is more natural and crosshairs do not block the visibility.
Forgot to mention one detail which was important for me. You can increase the size of crosshairs beyond the slider limits by typing the number. Currently I use torso crosshair size multiplier of 2.2 because I like to keep central area clear.
Not sure why, but it doesn't seem to want to work for me... I have it overwriting vonHud in my load order, it shows up as loaded and active in the mods list in game and I can go in and change the options for it, but the changes do not take affect, and I am left with a white/grey set of crosshairs that are not the ones I chose, lol...
Any thoughts?
It is supposed to be after VonHud in the load order so that it will overwrite his mod, correct? Also it not showing any kind of conflict in the mods list...
When using a BC for ballistic weapons, the green target lead crosshair is like 2x2 pixels, it's extremely small almost invisible. Adjusting the arms or torso crosshair size doesn't fix it. I had to revert back to the previous version (build number 16).
I think this is what troch22 is referring to(https://postimg.cc/FdVHh7L2). Changing the max scale size in the gui_file does not seem to effect this. Here is a image for the default one without the mod for reference(https://postimg.cc/ZB9f6dTd)

Edit: Turning the transparency down then up again to make the color change.

Thanks hope this helps some with this.
