Alright so here's the logo guide for everyone. Pretty basic but it works, if you hit a snag or have any further questions send me a DM for a quicker reply. Not sure how often I'll check the comments on this.
Logo Guide:
It's not too hard overall but the editor can take awhile to launch and does take up a chunk of disk space (my MechWarrior5Editor folder is currently taking up 182GB)
Assuming you've downloaded the MW5Mercs Editor, if not I recommend starting here: https://mw5mercs.com/resources/2020/01/29-modding-resources
First step, well after "create a new mod" in the editor, is to drop whatever images you want to use into your new mod folder, or in their own organized folders (I have a "Textures" folder then a "CompanyIcons" folder. I recommend keeping the images to 512x512 or 1024x1024 resolution, it seems to work best so the editor can compress it to DXT5 format and won't take up a ton of space but you can do 4096x4096 if you really want to as long as its a square image it should work.
Then you can either right click in your mod folder and create a new MWPortraitAsset (MW5 Misc -> Portrait) and set it to have the Portrait.Use.MercCompanyIcon attribute
or what I did at first is navigate to Content > UI > Textures > Factions > Company Icons
then copied CustomIcon_19 into my mod folder, click and drag from one content browser to another and choose "copy here", then rename it and change the "portrait" to one of my new images
From there you can just duplicate the new CustomIcon and select a new "Portrait" from the dropdown, all new images added should show up in the dropdown.
I add "G3_" to the beginning of all of my icons/pilots file names (E.g. G3_MercLogo_##) so it's unlikely they'll interfere with future DLC or other mods
Package it up, drop the created mod folder into your game mod folder, and activate in game. Should appear when creating a new career or if you're using Diji's Change Company Name mod it should show as an option there.
If you don't feel like doing all that just toss me the images, usually I just tell people to upload to imgur and share the link but most file/image sharing site will do, the requests are usually pretty spaced out so it's not that much trouble for me

or maybe i dont have the mod set up? I dont know xD
The guide is a bit too vague in spots. Like is this to make new logo entries, or is this to replace entries?
Where do you point the files in the packing process, does it matter what theyre called, and how do you pack them?
Thank you!
