the game doesnt even work. itll crash before you can start the game and it says "Unable to open file: CommonRes\weapon_meshes_e.brf" can someone help me or the game wont work?
This 1860s mod is like most of Gabrilduro's other mods: very nicely done period costumes, a lot of excellent artwork, and then abandoned with a myriad of bugs and incomplete bits and pieces. It's certainly "playable" for a while, but eventually I've given up in frustration in every one of his mods that I've tried, due to bugs and unfinished or buggy quests and mechanics. The real pity is, it probably wouldn't take all that much more work to properly "finish" any of several of his mods, but he seems to move on to another project when he's done with what he enjoys doing. I can't blame him for not doing what he doesn't enjoy for free, but it could have been a lot better if he had found a partner to work with who could handle the remaining issues.
It's the best Gunpowder Mod imo, the gunplay is even better than the DLC Fire and Sword.
Unfortunately it's VERY unpolished, plenty of bugs and glitches, and the mod is apparently dead. Someone should pick it up, this mod has SO MUCH potential, it just needs better balancing:
Very few cities have traders, the map is too big and empty, some towns are bugged (Toronto e.g.) and cant be looted, doors cant be entered on foot in some towns, even some dialog still refers to "swords" and stuff, it needs to be fixed.
Otherwise the atmosphere is amazing and the music the best, for a real Western feeling! Also plenty variety of guns and clothes...even tho Indians and bows seem to be OP. Please someone pick this mod up again, and polish it to perfection like they did with PoP.
had an issue with this, or at least the copy i downloaded from M&B repository. A lot of textures were broken and just pure black, making this essentially unplayable. Is this version better? can any mac users confirm for me?
Is there anyone have the same problem with me?Every revolver have the same error for me,they reload extremely slow,it looks like my character doing slow motion when he reloading a revolver,anyone know how to fix?
I think that's to simulate your character loading all the bullets one by one (it does take some time) but unfortunatelly in Warband maybe that kind of anymation is not possible to make (idk I don't know how to mod at all) and as a work around the mod develloper made it so you load all bullets at once but take quite some time to compensate for not doing it 1 by 1
