IMO, the Rhodoks should've gotten firearms then. Italy and Spain are much more notable for their use of firearms than France and Germany, and Spain was the first recorded place that firearms were used in Europe.

cant open textures/main_menu_nord.dds? i have the older version of warband is that a problem?

Sorry for the late response. I've run the mod on version 1.143, 1.152, and 1.153 without problems, but I don't know of a way to roll back the game on Steam to previous versions so I can't actually test it on older versions. With the current version 1.153, texture/main_menu_nord.dds is one of the files under the root directory and is not part of the modules. If you don't have that file then my guess is either it was added in an update at one point or your installation has been comprised. It's defiantly not one of the files added in this mod nor something I referenced anywhere in making the mod.

I was just wondering why only one troop has the vague possibility to get the guns. Just curious, cuz I was kinda hoping all of the factions would have a gunman. Or at least most.

Actually two troops use firearms: Swadian Powdermen are equipped with muskets and the Sarranid Light Horse have a chance of caring pistols. The reason all factions don't have musket infantry is I chose to try and represent early firearms that might have been around in 14th or 15th century Europe, rather than re-designing all the weapons to a latter period (though the models used for the firearms are from the 15th to 17th centuries). In this mod firearms are new to Calradia and they're not yet fully able to compete with bows and crossbows, so most kingdoms haven't chosen to adopt them yet. I tried to keep with that in when balancing the firearms too; my goal was to make them an even trade for a crossbow, though not performing exactly the same role. The pistol, for instance, I've found I like on my less combat focused characters because it can be used with a shield, but when it comes to leading a siege assault the musket and pistol don't have the accuracy to pick off targets up on the wall.

Now all that said, adding musket troops to all factions is actually quite simple. If you're not familiar with the module system files there are a number of editors that will let you add in or edit troops. I started with Morgh's Mount and Blade Editor. Extract it, launch it, and point the txt editor at your Warband module folder you want to edit.

I'd start by copying the tier 4 or 5 infantry for each faction (select troop from the list and click the “add” button up top to create a new troop based on the selected), give them a new id (internal only, should be unique and must start with “trp_”) and name (what appears in game), add some firearm proficiency, check guarantee ranged, and give them a firearm (#569 pistol, #570 dueling pistol, #571 arquebus, and #577 matchlock rifle, other firearms are not fully setup) as well as some cartridges (#166). Click “Add Troop #...” up top. Lastly, find the troop in the list you want to branch off of and, assuming there aren't already two upgrade options, add the new troop to its upgrade paths (your new troop will always be added at the end of the list so just scroll to the bottom). Because this doesn't change any of the existing troop numbers it won't break any saved games.

Yes, increasing the firearm proficiency will improve the accuracy of the pistols and muskets, but you'll never get them to the pinpoint accuracy you can get with a bow or crossbow. The low accuracy was a design trade-off for their high damage and ability to penetrate shields.

Oh i do have 1 more question though! Is there a way to increase the accuracy of the flintlock pistol? Do i have to level up the firearms proficiency? Because the bullet never goes where i want it to go ..

I thought that was probablly what happened, but I find it usually best to cover all the possible bases when dealing with delayed replies, hence my long-winded responce. I'm glad it is working for you now.

map.txt is not changed by this mod and is not packaged with the mod. I can suggest two things to try:

    - Check map.txt exists in the folder you placed the mod in. If it does not exist you may not have copied the Navtive folder at all. This mod only includes the files it changes so you need to make a copy your modules\Native\ folder and paste the mod into there.

    - Check if you can launch the Navtive mod. If you can't then something is wrong with your copy of Mount and Blade. You can try reinstaling the game, or if you have the game on Steam have Steam validate the game files for you.
