If this mod is dead/broken, does somebody know where i can get the sourcecode, i am a developer myself and a fervent fan of tWoT so id love to continue to work/patch etc. it. Il check this post in a couple of days again
This mod is so old at this point that it's a long shot but I can't get the game to open the Magic.brf in the Resources folder. If anybody is able to help I'd really appreciate it because I enjoyed playing this for the first time when I downloaded it a few years ago. Thanks!
I don't believe so, I've been running it fine as of late... Maybe try downloading the module system then overwriting the mod with it?-sorry, this may not help
It has been awhile since i played M&B Warband or any of it's mods. And this recent version of The Gathering storm left me thinking WTF happened to channeling. Has it been nerfed for some reason?
I used the fireball weave over 15 times on one target and still could do no damage. So curious as to the extent of this nerfing i enabled cheats and leveled my character to level 25, raising all Channeling related skills to 6 and Channeling Proficiency to over 225. I was finally able to kill with the fireball but it took around 10-13 blasts to kill anyone. So from what i gather Channeling is useless at low levels, and just a bit less useless if you work to level it.
I can understand not wanting magic to be crazy overpowered but at the same time fire really loses it's effect when everyone seems to be immune to it's effects. Honestly if a person is able to channel fire to the extent of hurling fireballs at enemies then it should actually do damage relative to the effects of fire in real life. One sword swing, one spear thrust, or one bolt from a crossbow can kill a man, a couple fireballs to the chest should do the same.
dude i don't know what version your playing! Chanelling 'says' it does no damage, but blast 5 or 6 fireballs into a pack of trollocs, wait 5 seconds and they will all die. If in doubt, use wall of fire for greater damage area. (Or just spam balefire - i think there should really be a consequence to that like there was in the books.) However i am a male chaneller and not yet crazy. is there a madness engine? There should be. (all effects reversed / progression stopped after rand cleans saidin obviously)
Such an old post I'm sure un-applicable now, but agreed, the damage reported is 0 but the fireball needs to be aimed at the ground (feet of target) and does Area of effect. The game uses the firearms mechanic with a script, so you are really using an extremely weak gun and the magic effect of the fireball is likely not anywhere near the target.
This may be a part of the story line that makes no sense or a glitch, but in the first default mission of trying to find the merchant's brother, after defeating the bandits at their hideout, I suddenly turn in to a clone of myself, watch myself run away and get attacked by the rest of my party. In the one occasion that I managed to defeat my own party, nothing happened. I had to manually retreat to the edge of the map and then got a message about being taken captive by celebrating bandits. Also, my blue stamina bar goes straight off to the right of the screen. Just a couple of problems.
same happened to me. also when trying to recruit from some villages the game crashes and cant get out of the village recruit screen therefore I cant save progress. sweet mod tho
Happens to me too, but as it is my favorite mod for a long time now, I just avoid taking the quest from the merchant at the start by skipping the quest with pressing Tab key as soon as back to merchant's house from the first battle against the bandit in the town.
When I saw "Wheel of Time" I seriously lost my sh*t. It appears to be dead though, which is a massive disappointment and shame. :( Hopefully the modder picks it back up again or opens it for others to continue off of. It would make for an excellent addition to the current modules we have in the community! :)
Whenever I try and run the module, it crashes and I get a popup saying "Cannot open file Module_Module_system 1.143_WoT_Mod_0.2.7a_Full_reasource_magic.brf" Help?
