At least in Win7 you can do this manually by changing the line "Battle_size =" in rgl_config.txt under Documents/Mount&Blade Warband The multiplier is times 150 so 2.0000 is 300 and so on.
How do you know if this has worked without going into a large battle? I've launched M&B and in the options it still asks for up to a maximum of 150 for the battle size.
Checking the options menu is probably the fastest way short of starting a custom battle, yeah. If it says 150, then something probably reverted the change you made. There's a bit of a hacky workaround - use the Battle Size Changer again or set the value manually and then mark the rgl_config file as 'read only'. That'll make sure your settings won't be randomly change - downside is, you'll have to disable the 'read only' flag again if you wanna change your options.
I seem to be having issues. The mod is not affecting my battle sizes at all, not even editing rgl_config does anything. My Prophecy of Pendor mod is capped out currently 530, but days before it was at 1000. Any ideas an what is going on?
For anyone wondering, this tool has and always will work no matter how many updates. Also, this affects vanilla as well as any mods you install. It's literally game-wide.
it stopped working all of a sudden, which is really weird. Like in my army I have over 300 troops but when I fight my army gets cut down to 30. I also have the max size which is 1000 set
False Positive, Merge Plugins for Skyrim gets the same thing so just restore it. Symantec/Norton thinks all game modding tools are viruses which is stupid because they give them bad signatures by default.
