So far, I've tried a lot of the mods on the nexus however... none of them have worked. I've followed the instructions, but everytime, when I try to load the game, I get some sort of error, which is usually a texture file being unable to load. I can't figure out what is causing it to crash everytime. Help?
@pitchwhiteawlI dont mean to be rude in any way, but if memory servers me, I read their explanation on the different forms of the word and why they chose it the way they did. I am pretty sure it was on.. (not sure if i can say other sites).. the link is in the description.. but from what I understood, they chose the form of the word that meant what they wanted the name to imply or something like that.. been a year or two since i read that xD
My main annoyance with this mod is how overpowered the Knight factions are, and the fact they are pretty much at your throat at the start of the game. If you think joining the faction the knights work for are going to get them off your back, think again. While as a lord for Sarleon, the knights of the lion were still attacking me.
Prophesy is a verb, its last syllable is pronounced like the word "sigh". The author may want to change it to Prophecy to appease English freaks like myself.
Did any of you guys read the background story in the forums. This world has a huge backstory that according to the modder was started in 1888 by an ex-Benedictine monk, who lived as a hermit in Landes, France. This worlds story is huge.
This really is one of the best mods I have played for any game in my life. And I have been gaming (and modding) for over 20 years. I really cant wait for any updates to this mod.
I played it to death about 5 months ago, and loved it. The only thing that annoyed me about it was the way that auto-resolve doesnt work as it should for noldor and other special forces, and I often found myself feeling like a cheat by using this 'glitch'.
I think they need to be balanced in battles in order to give people a reason to fight them and not just autoresolve. Even with the best troops their armies are virtually unbeatable I found (And Im pretty damn good at this game to be honest). At one point I had a 300 strong army of upgraded (3 times) Lady Valkyries and we just got decimated "> I hope in a future update they are toned down. Yes Undead and Elves should be awesome but I just found it depressing ">
Anyway, thank you very much for the mod! I CANT wait for 4.0, literally.
The undead imo is way harder than noldor. I chose to friend the noldor but fough them to see what they are made of. Valks are pretty good but if you want to rule 200 legion elite cavs which are the best cavs in the game will beat noldor, well aslong as you keep the numbers in balance. taking on 1200 noldors would mean grab an extra 200 cavs D
After two days of searching for bandit heroes who give qualis gems i found .... 000000.000000 can someone please tell me where they spawn ?! im really sick and tierd of two days runing around the map like crazy.
Youll see the notes and hear a tone when heros spawn finding them well takes some knowledge and wisdom D but the wiki explains locations. easiest way to get them imo is to defeat hired band heros the employer usually a king and that faction will be upset and youll lose a few points with them but just becareful not to get the kiing involved they will follow you or run from you timing is careful.
Does anyone know where the profile.dat of Prophesy of Pendor is? I made a character called Lü bu, worked fine, was gonna export/import to try a thing, upon importing the name became L, some edits later the name became Lu Bu, but there was one thing I didn't notice, my character had become bald, and ugly. I don't know why I didn't notice immideatly, probably because I always use first person and helmet, but when I loaded just now, my character looked completely different, I loaded the backup-file (playing in realistic mode) from a while before that, but nope, still bald. Aside from that, it's an amazing mod, utterly flawless aside from a few balance-issues.
EDIT: I want to punch myself blind, you can simply press edit face.
