About the update, I understand the previous version of this fix was implemented in LE3 Community Patch right? So can I install this after the patch? Will it work correctly that way?

Yes but it won't have any effect because that version also made gibbing work, but with a side effect. You will need to wait until it gets implemented if you use community patch. It's cause v2.0 (version on CP) and 3.0 edit different functions, but don't remove their changes on upgrade.

      Ah, too bad. I'll wait.

More than a year later and I don't think the latest version has still been included in CP3? At least not that I can see based on the change logs.

Can you make a mod so that each head explodes or explodes completely like a heavy machine gun from a simple automatic weapon or pistol? A very necessary mod for fun!

I don't know if this is something on my end and just me, but for some reason, the Javelin cannot get any head gib on Cerberus soldiers, other snipers can do this tho, like both Widows or Raptor.

Edit: whoops nvm, I think because if the enemy is killed while they have shield (Javelin completely went through the shield gate), there is no head gib.

While this does fix the head gib problem which is awesome, it also seems to turn aim assist on for mouse and keyboard, particularly when aiming through scopes (only tested with a scoped Mattock so far), which makes aiming rather odd.
Any chance of a version that enables head gibs without the aim assist?

Interesting, I was not aware, but it is also related to that code. I'm not sure how to turn that feature off unfortunately; lots of it is handled in native.

I find a solution and send message to you how you can prevent from aim assist turning on in your mod. For now anyone who wants may download default Coalesced file with changes what prevent aim assist to turn on (how install it is in readme.txt). Not the cleanest solution because Coalesced.bin file is incompatible with other mods that replace the same file (but for most people it probably don't matter as there is not much of such mods ).

I finally got around to working on this and implemented a different way of doing it that doesn't require anything outside of the merge mod.

You have single handedly restored my complete enjoyment in ME3LE. Thank you so so SO SO much for this fix. I had played through almost the entire LE3 campaign grumbling and grudging to the point where I quit just as I hit the cerberus base and was about to start the Citadel DLC. You've made me enjoy the game again with blowing cerberus heads off again. Bless up.

Can the creator please post an unaltered  SFXgame.pcc file? I would be grateful.

Can you describe what you did?
I want to add it into my own SFXgame.pcc file.

Does this only affect LE3 or the whole trilogy?

This is only for LE3, as said in the mod title.

It makes sense to include this small fix in the LE3 community patch, and they will indicate Mgamerz on the description page. After all it is more convenient to fix all errors with one mod, which is exactly compatible with ALOT.

I think this causes crashes during firefights but I can't pinpoint exactly how. Just letting you know, maybe it'll be useful.

Do you know which fight? The original code would set bCanGibHead = true if AimAssist == None, which is what they assumed would be Kebyoard/Mouse (but it wasn't).

I have the same issue, a few seconds after the initial battle at the N7:Cerberus Lab starts. Restoring the SFXGame.pcc (thus disabling the mod)  "fixed" it.

I first encountered it at "Ex-Cerberus Scientists" mission but it persisted in the missions that followed. I think it happens in literally every single fight. Can't say anymore unfortunately as I've restored the original files. Wish I could help more!

I uploaded a new version that hopefully fixes the issue. I was able to repro the issue but not reliable (it took like 20 minutes). I looked at the differences between ME3 and LE3 and undid one of the changes where they gated some code to only run on consoles and controllers and that fixed it - hopefully that does not crash the game.

So it is due to this mod, I thought something like that, because I had the issue too, I couldn't remove it because I have ALOT installed(texture-modded), the dev made a fix, so lets see

If you do not revert SFXgame.pcc this will not fix your crashing issue, as it changes a different part of the file.
