Turns out I mixed up some of my save files. Sorry about that. The new PCSAV that is specifically meant to be imported has been updated in main files, and the previous one has been moved to Optional. Please remember to drop the import save into the Char folder for ME1 in order for it to be recognized for import in both ME1 and ME2.
thanks for uploading these! just a heads up, and i don't remember the game enough to know if its a bug on my end or the order of things, but the saren fight file is after the fight had started and i never got the decision to save or sacrifice the council.
update: this is easy to get around just by changing the flag on the char file in the save editor. save it as the next number up just in case and you're good to go. it imported into me2le just fine
Just for others to not make the same mistake, dont overwrite the existing file in "char" with this one. I just deleted my original clear file with this save and its gone ^^ didnt pay attention that its named the same
Thanks for these saves, I've been using them as my baseline for my me2 games. Just a little tweak in the editor and I can have my old male and femshep games back.
Thanks for doing this, but i'm having some trouble importing this character into ME2, i can load them in ME1 easy enough, but they don't show up in ME2. Any help would be appreciated.
You need to make a folder for them in the ME1 folder for the ME2 game to recognize it. Should be in Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME1
(If this doesn't work, try the other save in Optional and let me know if that still bounces you.)
Thanks for the response, but it still doesn't work. I used the optional save as well and no difference. I am able to import my own character, but not any that I download.
I seem to have figured it out, I had to play through the rest of your save, beating Saren, and it showed up in ME2 import menu. Thanks for your help tho
