Hi! I figure you probably won't see this, but I'm having trouble when I apply one of these hairstyles to my femshep - it really messes up her teeth. Like there's a dark spot in the middle that makes them look broken (similar to what this mod fixed, but for the new vanilla hairs added to LE). Do you know how to fix this? It seems to be possibly linked to the custom scalp textures, or do I need to replace the teeth textures? (though I have no idea how that even works, I'm a novice at modding etc)
Huh i never heard of this happening with one of my hairstyles. Could you send me a log using this and make sure to attach your save as well so that i can check it on trilogy save editor on my end. Is this something you encountered with other mod hairstyles as well or just my hairstyle mod?
Also if you're using AMM to choose the hair, could you first choose another vanilla hair like Cute in it before you choose my hairs to see if that resets it.
So I know this is a year later, but this is the only mention I can find of someone having a similar issue to me. Any custom hairstyle seems to mess up my shepard's teeth, making them really dark and almost nonexistent in cutscenes. If I use AMM to switch to a vanilla hairstyle then her teeth return to normal. I also tried mid-mission to switch from a custom hairstyle back to vanilla, then back to custom to see if it would reset it but no dice. The mod sassywimple linked does seem like it was made to combat this issue, but I think it was made for only a select few already existing hairstyles. My only remaining theory on how to fix it would be to find the scalp/teeth texture name and edit it within AMM? Just would be a challenge considering in the equipment and AMM menu shepard doesnt make any sort of expression and you cant see their teeth. Sorry for the ramblings I'm just kinda at my wits end and this is quite literally the only mention I can find of this issue.
Thank you so much for the gif and sorry for the long wait reply, really appreciate the assistance. Lemme know if this works; https://me3tweaks.com/modmanager/logservice/logviewer?logid=1b6e2141651d9864acefd4fcb91376de
Ok first of all, you're not using any of my hair mods there is that, second of all your shepard looks like the default shepard, are you using a headmorph for that look or made it happen through AMM? The save you shared is really hard to understand the issue, would have preferred something on normandy, though her teeth seemed to work fine in that omega scene as far as i can see. It's weird that your HED_Scalp_Diff, HED_Scalp_Norm, and HED_Scalp_Spec is none in your save which i checked on head morph section on trilogy save editor. Though maybe that's related to way you made it look like default shepard, maybe ask to the mod you used to make that happen for the black teeth, which again i'm not seeing on the save you attached, unless you attached a wrong save.
Hi!! I love your you clothing and hair mods (I use both for all my ME games). I was wondering though, if you planned on porting over any other hair from SonyaSims?
Yes I do have plans to port from SonyaSims more, i have a planned mod that contains a lot of hairs from them for femshep. It's on my to do list which is a long list. I will get to it and i am pretty excited about them.
That is awesome and I can't wait. I use their hairs in my sims games so it really exciting that some of them have already been ported with more on the way.
Is it possible to use the save editor (or another modding tool) to put these on squadmates? Would love to change Miranda’s hair to one of these, but I’m not very familiar with the various editors.
Why do we still need the Save Editor after you added it to Appearance Modification Menu LE3? I am about to start LE3, but I'm new to your hair mods -- but I am really confused. Can't I just cycle through the hairstyles in-game and pick one?
You don't need Save editor if you use Appearance Modification Menu, you only need that if you don't use AMM for some reason. I updated the mod later on, so the description further down is about before AMM was available to download. I edited that part in the description now to avoid any future misunderstandings.
Very cool. Thank you for the quick response! I only asked because it still shows up when you click download and it says it requires both AMM and Save Editor.
These are great. I did find a few hair clipping issues when i am wearing my armour. no issues when i am wearing casual clothes. is there a fix for this?
Unfortunately hair clipping with armors are quite expected. Hairs have to be quite high for it not to clip but then they would look weird with casual clothes.
Shorter hairstyles are no issue. i used the longer hairstyles like BONNIE and had the hair clipping issue in ME3. when I played ME2, there were no hair clipping issues during combat.
I read up tutorials on how to create hairstyles, but I know that i am not cut out to do it
