There you go. This is how every game should be. If you don't like certain aspects in a game, change it with a mod that can be specifically downloaded by those that need it. But not force it on the rest of the gamers like everything is nowadays. Hence why game after game after game is failing.
So, i upvote the mod. Because it makes it optional and not forced on everyone.
Thank you, I didn't even think this kind of mod would exist but it's a very welcome addition to my gameplay. I don't think it's too much expecting to be respected when you have a grenade launcher strapped to your back :D
I won't download it myself, but I understand why some people may need it. It's like "No Spiders" mod for arachnophobic people. Good idea and good work!
Totally agree, at first i thought like "why would people need this? those lines could be way worse and sexual harrassment is probably still a thing in the future" but i get that there might be people with irl bad experiences who might want to just immerse themselves into this awesome trilogy without being reminded of the bad things that happen irl.
no one will when the reapers show up, not even smug anons on nexus. Also this mod has obvious appeal to people who don't care for all the suggestive comments in the game. It's a no brainer.
There's a difference between a friendly hug and wrapping around someone like a vine and rubbing your cheek on their face/throat, while visibly using a 'bedroom' voice. I am curious if your reaction would change if someone you find physically or emotionaly unappealing (not this hot asari bod) in real life 'hugged' you like this.
wholehearted, genuine gratitude for this mod. shepard, like anyone, deserves to experience physical intimacy/the gaze/the consequences of the gaze on their terms only. it's a game! we're gallivanting through a made-up universe slinging space magic at robots! realism has nothing to do with it unless you want art to imitate life, and i, uh, don't. the world's just too awful. let's dare to dream. skip sexism! prioritize consent! there are thousands of other ways to make antagonists vile and repulsive without cloning misogyny! rondeeno for president!
I was aware of this mod but played LE1 without it because I didn't remember how the vanilla game was like. Now that I've finished LE1 I see why you made this mod. Harkin's comments and Sha'ira's cringe touches stick out like a sore thumb and really date the game. So I'm back to get this mod for LE2. Thanks in advance!
Tried it out and I understand why someone might feel uncomfortable with the dialogue. However I found it isn't for me. I feel the characters who say what they are are intentionally supposed to be skeevy and condescending to women (Chora's Den and Afterlife aren't exactly high class clubs) and I think the dialogue just adds to that. Darius just gives me a reason to shoot him haha.
Downloaded this awhile back, but now I want to give my thanks. Sha'ira's touching especially was pissing me off, and for a long time, I didn't even do that mission. So, thanks for the time you put into this mod!
Thank you so much for this. I don't want gross reminders of the awful crap women face daily in real life when I'm playing escapist fantasy to relax and get away from said crap. The consort getting all touchy without asking always bothered me. I get scummy characters gonna act scummy but she wasn't written to be scummy. We all know what she does for a living and that's fine but consent should be part of that.
dear god its a game. also you cant remove this stuff from real life so if anything the game raises more awareness. People like you would rather sweep it under the rug and forget about it.
Yeah, it is a game, that people play for fun. Don't know why you're accusing this person of wanting to erase harassment in real life, just because they're downloading a mod for a fictional story. Get off you high horse, and let people mod a game the way they want. If you wanna raise more awareness about harassment, go donate to a charity, educate others, or volunteer instead being a child about a video game.
