On my first playthrough of MELE, I wondered what had happened to my femshep's eyebrows when I imported her into ME2. At the time I just put up with it. I've started another playthrough and while browsing for new mods I happened to find this one.
All I can say is thank you. Thank you very much. My femshep no longer looks like all the hair has fallen out of her eyebrows. She's now the same as she was in the first game. It's amazing how a relatively small thing can make sure a difference.
I owe you one. More than one. Ever since 2010 and the original ME2 I had to contend with weird thin bars upon import instead of the bushy goodness of ME1. Lazarus Project messed up. Critical mission failure, mr. Harper, I'm sorry. Miranda saying she does "damn good work" just never clicked right. You made it all go away. Having ME2 Gianna Parasini levels of gratitude here, thanks a lot :D
It's funny who just a little thing can spoil everything. I was literally sitting and looking at my screenshot from ME1 and imported character in ME2, wondering what's wrong. And you feel stupid, because it's just a character, and it's, well, kinda the same. But at the same time it's not, and somehow it makes you super uncomfortable. It was just eyebrows. And now she's back, my good old Shepard. Man, can't thank you enough!
Is there a MEM version for the first/female file, like there is for the Male Shep? :(
I sadly already installed the content mods I wanted, and then used MEM to install ALOT/etc. It is advised not to add any content mods after using MEM for textures. I worry this will bork my game : (
That's why the Backup and restore feature of mod manager is so usefull The solution is easy just restore the vanilla game from backup and install your mods again. I do that too often unfortunately Always finding new mods right after I installed textures
Unfortunately that is not possible. The main mod adds an entirely new asset to the game, that's something MEM cannot do. The optional male Shep file is a separate, additional fix not necessary for femshep
Dear author, thank you so much for this mod! My FemShep is redhead, and her eyebrows looked weird in ME2, it was too red, and I could not just fix it with trilogy save editor. This mod bring back normal color for eyebrows!
This mod is incredible thank you so much! I am having so many issues with MEM though is there any possible way you could import the optional file to ME3Tweaks?
I'm so glad I found this mod, I was dying inside over the idea of having to play the entire game with bleached facial hair and eyebrows. Blonde characters suffered from this bug particularly badly. Weirdly, eyebrows still don't seem to look the exact same as they did in ME1, but maybe it's always been like that. It's been a couple of years since I played OG ME2 so I can't remember. Still, thank you so much for making this!
You're welcome! Are you playing a male character? There is an additional, unrelated texture-related issue for custom male Shepards :( I've been meaning to look into it properly eventually
I have updated the mod with an optional file that ports Mshep's LE1 eyebrow textures. They were positioned lower in 2 for some reason, it should now be fully consistent barring lighting changes :) If you'd like to give the file a try, it might fix your issue! Install it with MassEffectModder after installing content mods.
No way, this made me so excited! I've run into an error though when trying to install the new file through MEM. An error comes up saying the installation failed, and this is the message that follows:
File: /Game/ME2/BioGame/DLC/DLC_MOD_BrowsRestoration/CookedPCConsole/Startup_DLC_BrowsRestoration_INT.pcc Above files added since last game data scan.
Have you installed any texture mods before installing the Brows DLC mod? General rule is you need to install all DLC/content mods before you start installing textures, and the solution is restoring the game to vanilla and starting your installation over, all content mods before textures.
But since it's only this mod you can temporarily disable Eyebrows and facial hair restoration with ME3Tweaks ModManager, under Manage Target Menu. You should be able to install the textures while it's disabled. Do not do this for other mods, this only works with eyebrows mod because it's an empty package save for the one texture I added. You can enable the mod again after installing the textures :)
Disabling it worked! It looks perfect. You're literally the best. I can think of few people who would release an update so quickly after reading a comment. You have my kudos and vote for mod of the month.

Unfortunately texture replacements in DLC mod format are really not efficient, so the optional file will be staying MEM only, sorry!

Any ideas on how to get around this?
