It's for LE3, since the poster didn't find it important to inform.

Perhaps add (ME3) or (LE3) to the title so that we know which Mass Effect this mod applies to!

So I'm trying to find a way to merge these coalesced.bin changes along with another .bin file, it seems like a LOT of values were changed in this file. Is there any way to just copy the particular changed lines and paste them over the file I'm already using? Or does every value have to be changed manually?

Cool mod! Sounds like you and I have similar taste. I also like to be super powerful, but get killed in a few shots. I always play adept in all 3 games and mod it so I have lots of extra abilities and ofc with ''removed chared cooldown'' + all guns. Super fun to mod every ability to be much stronger, with much longer duration.

Adept + biotic charge, domination, cloak, flare, lash, stasis and barrier, truly makes me into a biotic god, not as awsome as my idol: Niftu Cal, but who is? Then I make the enemies unbelievably deadly and increase their numbers by a alot. I always have so much fun playing like this!

You are referring to the Bonus Powers in ME2 and ME3? May I ask what mods you use to add those? Also exclusively Adept frustrated at the power balance in ME2.

For adept in ME2, just giving powers the ability to penetrate shields makes them stupidly strong. There's a single coalesced line that needs to be changed, but if you're not comfortable with making that change yourself, you could try this. It's a coalesced edit. This mod does the same thing, but needs ME3Tweaks Mod Manager to install. Both will give you the same effect, just differing installation methods/mod compatibilities.

Thanks, I'm aware of those Mods. I'm asking about any Mods that add multiple Bonus Powers in ME2 and ME3.

Hi. Sry for the late reply. Yes, this is the one I use: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/344   to add multiplayer powers to the sp.

As a biotic god, naturally I also give myself biotic sphere. THEN I use this coalesced-mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/449?tab=description

I use ''Wench Coalesced Editor''  to change to biotic powers on the numpad, adding more powers that way. I also use the editor to change all kinds of things, for example making all biotic abilities more powerful. Don't change stuff if you don't know what you're doing. I thought it was easy to learn by myself tho.

That earlier coalesced file will make the enemies much harder, to make up for my godly power. However to ease my pain a little, I then use this to make my squadmates suck less: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/540?tab=files

Add ''Individual cooldown'' to that and you're all set. Well, almost...sadly tho(for me at least) the mod: ''Respawn'' that increased the enemy count has been hidden by the mod author. I should still have it tho on my old pc, so I can transfer it over to my new one.

Sounds fun man. I kind of wish Bioware put more focus on the powers rather than using them as almost a seasoning to weapons so things like this could be viable without mods. I think the final straw for me was a frag grenade blowing up in a grunts face and him just shrugging it off. I was like, wait a minute, mod tools exist. Now they explode and do cartwheels. Much better. I also tried to upgrade the DLC powers like flare and lash but it seems to just straight up break the game for some reason so it will have to stay put for now unfortunately.

use the "Trilogy save editor". You can use it to add extra powers to your character, as well as ability points to level them up.

Yeah, I agree. It's amazing how well the modding community has made so many good mods without proper modding tools. Will always be thankful for all of their work, making the games so much more fun to play and even, for me at least, worth playing again thanks to mods that changes that awful ending.

Strange that you have issues with those dlc powers, I never had. I hope it will work for you someday.

Can I ask how you went about accessing them? They aren't in the base Coalesced from what I can tell. If I can figure it out I'd definitely put it in an update.

It's important to note tho that when it comes to the Legendary Edition, I've only played LE1 & LE2 so far. Added several bonus powers with this: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/36     in LE1.

And for LE2 I used the trilogy save editor.   I'm sure you know about these already, just wanted to clarify what I've been talking about. Haven't been able to give myself other powers than what the editor allows.

The modding I talked about earlier were mostly for OG ME3. About accessing them in LE2 & 3, I'm not sure yet how to do. Haven't messed with the coalesced file on my own at all for LE. I'm not skilled enough to find the solution, I'm better at messing with things after they've been made available by others.

I am using a coalesced file from another mod but I would like to incorporate your mod into my current coalesced file. Can you tell me what files you changed in the coalesced file or at least where they are located? I would appreciate it.

This is why coalesced edits should be done as DLC mods so they are cross compatible with other config changes, and only include the required changes (instead of full replacement).

Not everyone wants a list with sorting and such things like in TES/FO games! And not everyone figures out how to create such a DLC mod. I remember the MOAM creator who made such a secret out of his mod!

So you open up the Coalesced.bin file using the most recent Me3Coalesced tool and go to biogame.ini > sfxgamecontent > sfxpowercustomaction. You'll see a list of "most" powers. The only ones absent seem to be the ones from the DLC but apparently changing those is like going down a rabbit hole that starts to break stuff so I decided against it. In each power category you'll see things like "damage = (BaseValue=500.0f,RankBonuses[2]=0.2f)". This is the actual base damage value of the power without taking into account any bonuses. So say you had a power bonus of 20%, it would be added to that base power damage. In this case it would be 600 after the bonus is applied. So dont go too crazy with the base value because it starts to multiply out of control once power bonuses and the skill tree points are applied. There's other values in these categories like force, radius, and "evolve" parameters which are the bonuses that you get when you level up the skill tree for each power. Just be mindful of your decimal place and not to remove the "f" at the end of each line or you'll break the game. If you have any more questions just let me know.

I was actually trying to but from what I remember I couldn't find the values in the coalesced file. I may have to do some digging with it.
