About this mod
This mod changes bed sheets in Shepard's cabin on the Normandy, in Anderson's apartment and/or in Pinnacle Station Apartment. Choose from variety of patterns.

Is your Shepard dreaming of going to sleep in some cozy and comfy sheets? Wants to give their cabin a bit more homey feeling or some more colour? Or maybe would like to cuddle with their loved one in a bed that is less sterile than that white vanilla one? If yes, seek no more - this mod is just for you! Choose from variety of patterns and colors, and give your beddings a new look. Your bed, and your Shepard, deserve it.
In version 1.1 you'll find 50 beddings, all in two variants, which gives 100 different sheets you can choose from - if you played with Variety of Beddings LE2, you know what to expect. Currently there are following beddings/patterns types available: dots, floral (I love floral motiffs), geometric, plaid, plain colours, stripe & colours, stripes, zig zags. All previews I have provided come from Shepard's cabin on the Normandy - forgive me, but going once again for 100 times through the same loop: change texture -> run game -> take photo -> quit game -> change texture... to take photos in Anderson's apartment and Pinnacle Station Apartment would surely make me go insane. I did the whole thing twice (for this mod and LE2 version) and it left serious scars on my sanity. And almost bored me to death.
The mod comes in two versions: simple texture mod and kind of a hybrid version (DLC + texture mod). For more info check "Compatibility" section below.
For Anderson's apartment, mod changes "Simple bedding" sheets. For Pinnacle Station Apartment, you need to install Pinnacle Station Apartment (LE3) mod by Scottina123 and LLinden before installing this mod.

ATTRIBUTION
Textures used in majority of files come from Freepik. Exceptions are: VarBedLE3_Dots04, VarBedLE3_Dots04 Alt, all Geometric, Plain Colours and Stripe & Colours files.
WHY SUCH A MOD?
There are already three mods for LE3 that change texture of Shepard's bed - Assorted Bed Sheets (LE2) by munchyfly, Pride Beddings by Padme4000 and Shadows Shepard Cabin Bed ReTexture Collection 1 by RangerShadowline. They are great mods (go check them out if you haven't done that yet), but I wanted the sheets to be more cozy (in my opinion, of course), to feel more... "inviting", so I created this mod. Some will say those sheets don't fit aesthetics of the game or Shepard's cabin interior and they may be right, but I hope some will find them fitting their (or their Shepard's) tastes.
And as the thought of such an outrageous inconsistency bugged me terribly, I provide modified version of Shepard's cabin photo - the one you can see when interacting with elevator on the Normandy. Camera angle on that modified one is a bit different than vanilla, so the bed, with WHITE
sheets, isn't visible. First I wanted to make a separate one with visible bed for every possible beddings, but it would be PITA to take all those photos (now and in case of eventual updates). You can download the photo from Optional Files.
COMPATIBILITY (IT'S IMPORTANT - READ THIS!!!)
"Texture version" changes the texture used by bed's model. It won't collide with anything, aside from mods that change the same texture (like the three I have already mentioned). The downside is the fact it will change the look of all beds in the game that use the same model, such as the one in apartment on the Presidium or in Anderson's apartment.
"Hybrid version" contains DLC mod that can modify three files, depending on your choices during installation: BioA_Nor_100Cabin.pcc, BioA_CitApt_C_Bed02.pcc and BioA_Vegas_APT.pcc from Pinnacle Station Apartment (LE3). That way you can be sure only bed in Shepard's cabin, Anderson's apartment and/or apartment on Intai'sei get changed, but it will collide with mods that modify any of those .pcc files. There are three such mods for the time being - Expanded Galaxy Mod (LE), Assorted Bed Sheets LE3 and Kaidan Alenko Overhaul (LE3).
- patch for Expanded Galaxy Mod is included in my mod, but for it to be installed you must install EGM first (its Normandy module, to be precise).
- Assorted Bed Sheets mod does the same thing as mine (but with different patterns), so of course it isn't compatible and will never be. You have to choose one or the other.
- Kaidan Alenko Overhaul (LE3) isn't compatible and it will probably stay that way. It has quite high mount priority, so compatibility patch must be handled on its end.
This version will also be incompatible with any texture mod changing texture of Shepard's bed - such mod will change texture of any other bed sharing the same model, but not the one in Shepard's cabin and/or Anderson's apartment.
INSTALLATION
If you've chosen and downloaded the version you want, it's time to install it.
TEXTURE VERSION
To change textures of all mods that share the same model, download Variety of Beddings LE3 TEXTURE file and unzip it.
To install texture mods, you need to generate a texture scan file with Mass Effect Modder (if you already did, skip this part). But before you do it, make sure you have all desired DLC mods installed, because after texture modding it won't be possible without restoring the game to vanilla and modding from scratch. If you do have DLC mods installed, follow steps below:
Now for the mod itself:
HYBRID VERSION
To change beds only in Shepard's cabin and/or Anderson's apartment, download Variety of Beddings LE3 HYBRID DLC file. You have to also download the right Optional File(s): Variety of Beddings LE3 Patterns HYBRID for cabin bed, Variety of Beddings LE3 Patterns HYBRID APARTMENT for Anderson's apartment beds, Variety of Beddings LE3 Patterns HYBRID PINNACLE for Intai'sei apartment.
To avoid problems, be sure to install .mem textures from the right folder - TEXTURE if you're just installing texture mod, HYBRID to change bed in Shep's cabin on the Normandy, HYBRID APARTMENT to change beds in Anderson's apartment, HYBRID PINNACLE to change beds in apartment on Intai'sei from Pinnacle Station Apartment (LE3) mod. Just remember that all "hybrid" texture mods must be used together with DLC mod and only if you've chosen these options during its installation.
WHY TEXTURES AS SEPARATE DOWNLOADS?
First I wanted textures mods, for the Hybrid Version, to be shipped together with DLC as a one .zip file, just like I did with LE2 version of this mod. But then I thought I'll give an option to change sheets in Anderson's apartment as well, and it made me thinking. Due to how textures work in ME, to make bed in Shep's cabin use one sheet and beds in the apartment use other, there must be separate set of all texture mods for both of them. I figured it's unnecessary to force folks, who want to change bed in only one of these places, to download all textures, even if they don't need them. Moreover, I plan to update my mod to give the third option (you can try to guess what it'll be!) and then another set of texture mods will be required. Also that way if I'd need to update just the DLC part of the mod (i.e. when EGM will be updated), you won't need to download all the textures again if you already have them somewhere on your hard drive, just the DLC. So, taking it all into consideration, I think giving them as separate downloads is the best possible solution.
KNOWN BUGS
Minor Kaidan, Ashley and Liara romance spoiler ahead!
Well, not quite a bug, but thing that (at least for me) looks totally weird. During the last romance scene with Kaidan, Ashley or Liara, after the dream sequence, Shep wakes up with his/her loved one at his/her side and they are covered with some kind of blanket. The thing is, they are laying on a bed that has already quilt on it, so why the hell they aren't covered with that quilt? (because quilt is part of the bed mesh and it's easier to just make additional blanket) It looks off even in vanilla, but with my mod installed, with more colourfull bedding, it stands out in that particular scene much, much more. It's nothing game-breaking or anything, but please keep that in mind.

INSTALLATION

- run Mass Effect Modder (if you run it from ME3Tweaks, then you'll find it under Tools)
- if you have an old (outdated) texture scan AND YOUR GAME ISN'T TEXTURE MODDED YET, in ME3 section choose Texture Utilities --> Delete Texture Scan File and click Yes.
- now press Textures Manager for ME3
- wait for it to scan.
- click Continue.
- wait for it to scan some more.
- once it's done, you can exit Texture Manager.
Now for the mod itself:
- unzip downloaded file(s) and you'll end up with VarBed LE3 patterns TEXTURE folder (and possibly VarBedLE3 GUIphoto one).
- in Mass Effect Modder choose Texture Modding --> Install Texture Mods in ME3 section.
- Now choose Add to list and navigate to one of the .mem files you've chosen from the mod's
folder. If you downloaded elevator photo changer, do the same for VarBedLE3_GUIphoto_Modded.mem file. - click Install all mods and wait for a moment. That's it, mod installed.
- if you'd like to change the pattern later just install one of the other .mem files - it will be installed "on top" of the old one, replacing it. If you'd like to go back to the vanilla, white sheets, install VarBedLE3_VanillaSheets.mem and VarBedLE3_GUIphoto_Vanilla.mem files I have provided - this way you won't have to restore your game and mod it again.
HYBRID VERSION
To change beds only in Shepard's cabin and/or Anderson's apartment, download Variety of Beddings LE3 HYBRID DLC file. You have to also download the right Optional File(s): Variety of Beddings LE3 Patterns HYBRID for cabin bed, Variety of Beddings LE3 Patterns HYBRID APARTMENT for Anderson's apartment beds, Variety of Beddings LE3 Patterns HYBRID PINNACLE for Intai'sei apartment.
- new window appears with three options to choose: to change bed in Shepard's cabin, to change beds in Anderson's apartment and to change beds in Pinnacle Station apartment. You can choose any combination of these options, but Pinnacle Station option will be locked if there's no Pinnacle Station Apartment (LE3) mod installed). Expanded Galaxy Mod compatibility patch will be checked automatically if you check first option and there's EGM Normandy module already installed.
- unzip downloaded optional file(s) and you'll have any combination of folders: VarBed LE3 patterns HYBRID, VarBed LE3 patterns HYBRID APARTMENT, VarBed LE3 patterns HYBRID PINNACLE.
- now you have to install the pattern(s) of your choosing, because without it my mod has no point. Follow all the steps for "TEXTURE VERSION" (beside downloading Variety of Beddings LE3 TEXTURE file), just install .mem files from HYBRID, HYBRID APARTMENT and/or HYBRID PINNACLE folder(s), depending on which options you've installed.
