Overview:
Vanilla Mass Effect only autosaves at particular scripted moments in the game, which if you forget to quick save can lead to a long wait between saves and accidental death being a frustrating amount of do-over. This simple mod turns on the disabled autosave functionality of the underlying Unreal engine and makes the game save every 5 minutes.
Installation:
Locate your Coalesced_INT.bin which will be in ...\path\to\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME1\BioGame\CookedPCConsole
Make a backup of this file. If my mod breaks your game and you have no backup, I will only laugh whilst you run a repair/redownload.
Replace your Coalesced_INT.bin with the version in the downloaded zip, overwriting the existing file.
Caveats:
This mod will clash with any other mod which replaces Coalesced_INT.bin. If you are clever enough, there are tutorials on the net for editing it yourself and you may be able to combine Coalesced mods in that manner, but this is beyond the scope of a simple mod upload.
This mod may well be overwritten by any updates to the game. If so, you can probably just reinstall it, but again I reiterate, back up the original, just in case.
