Does this mod get replaced/altered if I substitute my custom Coalesced.bin after installation? I installed using ME3Tweak MM and have custom binding and scan range, no Insanity difficulty changes.
Maybe play with vanilla weapons and mods, ignoring DLC weapons and mods? Play with the weapons and mods you find as the story progresses. Ignore the DLC content and you'll find that the vanilla game is reasonably balanced in terms of XP gain, especially starting at level 1 and without using health packs that give tons of XP for nothing. I used Save Editor to reset Shepard's level in ME2 to 1. Try playing with the original N7 armor, which only gives you health. The solo player's advantage in the original game can always be adjusted to reasonable values, for this there are skills that can be included in the build or abandoned if it seems easy. There is modular armor that can be adjusted to the characteristics of the character from the multiplayer or abandoned. And finally, there are implants that can be added or abandoned. I tried playing with DLC weapons and mods, and the game immediately turned into an easy mod. I tried playing Inferno Armor, and the game immediately became boring.
It would be great to add Singularity multiplayer that can prepare for a combo of an enemy with shields. It would be good to add Throw that has direct damage in the sixth evolution multiplayer. If you are going to create conditions for Insanity x2, then you should reconsider the skills. In general, the solution to the problem of the easy level of Insanity in a solo game is solved by abandoning implants, abandoning modular armor and armor sets, abandoning weapon modules and weapons from the DLC. You can also abandon some evolutions in skills of rank 5 or 6.
Navigate to the folder the mod is installed to. Use Tweaks Modmanager to uncompile default_dlc_mod_platinum_difficulty.bin by dragging/dropping the file into the mod manager GUI, a folder with the uncompiled settings files fill now be created.
Use notepad to open biodifficulty Find PlayerShieldRegenPct",StatRange=(X=0.20f,Y=0.20f)) Change .20 on x and y to .25 Save the file. Drag all files back into Tweaks modmanager Replace the old Default_DLC_MOD_PLATINUM_DIFFCULTY.BIN with the newly created compiled one.
Hello there. I just started another me3 run and this is amoung several mods I downloaded. However I'm having a bit of an issue. My shields, when they regenerate, rather than regenerating 20% per second as you stated they should...well they regenerate like a 20th of the bar or maybe even less. And its every few seconds rather than every second. I believe it's this mod because I swapped to hardcore and the regen went back to normal. When I watched the regen, it almost seemed like it was regenning 20 shields rather than 20% shields but idk for sure.
Has anyone else experienced this? is this intentional or is it a bug?
This is a late response and I doubt you'll even see this, but for future downloaders that have this issue, it's due to the setting StatName="PlayerShieldRegenPct",StatRange=(X=0.20f,Y=0.20f)). I experienced this issue myself and toyed with the Coalesced file. Like the OP, my shields would not regenerate even after putting a point in Fitness as the next responder suggested. The shields would recharge after loading a new game.
If you want to use this mod but have this issue, there is an easy fix - simply change the 0.20 to 0.25. I suggest editing the partial and destroyed shield recharge times to compensate. The problem with editing this mod is that it's in a format that the original isn't, so you have to use inspect element to find the ID for the original ME3 mod and copy the original mod's Level5 row onto your BioDifficulty.xml file in your Coalesced file. Please reply to this message if you have issues and I will try to help.
Hello. I am trying to make the changes your recommended but I can't seem to find the Player Shield Regen line in any of the XML files for either of the LE3 versions nor the ME3 version. In fact I can't find any changes to most stats mentioned in the mod description. Where are you finding this line in the coalesced file?
