Just an FYI, this mod is extremely heavy on the CPU, and due to the age of the engine it's predominantly bottlenecked by a single thread, so more cores won't rectify it.
What can significantly improve these problem areas though, is running the game in Vulkan. Specifically, though the use of DXVK:
https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk
Running the game in Vulkan can more than double your framerates in these hub areas when you're CPU limited. You're still going to be CPU bottlenecked in these games at points, but Vulkan actually lets you get 120+fps in these areas on CPU's that exist today, not 10 years from now. :)
54fps vs 107. DXVK can also help to smooth out some of those area transition stutters to boot.
Really the same goes for all 3 games. DXVK will significantly increase your FPS in cpu limited areas, even without mods. For example, the citadel in ME1 can see drops into the 50's in spots on a clean install, and a spot in the docking bays in ME3 where looking in one direction will cause your FPS to plummet into the 40's. Vulkan puts these areas to 90-100+ on my system.
Was still getting frames drops in omega. I thought this was just engine limits? I have i7 12700k with 3080 that should handle this mod. My cpu wasnt even going over 10% usage. The drop was mostly from view points where you see the entire club. I also play with fov90.
Then i installed dxvk (vulkan) and everything is smooth again lol
Hey Daxvapik, I'm running into issues while trying to run this mod and the Spectre Expansion Mod - LE2. Your mod runs fine but the spectre mod doesn't run at all. I have also posted on the other mods page to see if they are aware of any issue, but do you know of any compatibility issues between these mods?
The latest update seems to have broken the asari textures on the omega. (The other asari textures are either unchanged or completely dark like the bodies in the screenshot, including the faces).
Seems interesting... think I installed this in middle of a current playthrough, any quests I might have missed due to this? Haven't get encountered Ashley, to give an idea of timeline placement although I do use Early Recruitment
Hey, just to ask, I saw that you recommend having the Ryzen 5 5600x for this mod, my PC has the Ryzen 9 3900x, would I be good to use this mod?
As for mods I'm not sure if it will work with, I use the Tali remastered mod, The Normandy Project, Aria consistency, and Liara consistency LE3 face, would any of these mods work with this one?
Hi, yeah it should be good. The recommendation is just what is 100% can handle bigger NPC crowds and overall stability. For example when you enter the place where Aria is and look at the whole place with all the NPC's, with a weaker system you might experience bigger fps drops below 60 so like around 35-45. This is however will be gone instantly as you move further because you will only see part of the crowds then. With a more decent system it will only drop to around 55-59 (Recommendation is based on this). But you probably not gonna notice these if you busy playing and not trying to stand in a place where you can look at everything at once. So it's only for a matter of seconds when you enter.
Don't believe all the spec requirements. This game is from 2010 with the remaster in 2019. I was playing this game with Windows 7 on a potato laptop back then fully modded out and getting near 30 fps and it ran flawlessly. Your rig has more than enough power for this game.
The main headache is the fps drop isn't stable, its very inconsistent depending on viewpoint. Even with Vsync on its a no go for me, which sucks because this mod does look stunning. I'd understand most people could handle it but I'm too easily nauseated by frame-rate drops.
For me it wasn't my CPU letting things down, it was the GPU. R7 5800X but only a RTX 3060 due to budget constraints and availability issues. I'd be fine if I didn't upgrade my screen to 1440p.
Yeah sure, the originals aren't a problem - they fly. This is about the Legendary Edition though.
The problem is that the Legendary Edition's switch to DX11 from the original's DX9 codebase seriously messed up performance in some areas, particularly in hub areas like the Citadel/Omega. There are spots in the Citadel in ME3 for example where despite not having any changed graphical details aside from higher res textures, the originals will run 2-3x faster when put into a CPU bottlenecking scenario. It doesn't mean the LE performance 2-3X worse across the board, but there are these bizarre trouble spots where it absolutely chokes.
Thankfully, DXVK to run the game in Vulkan goes a good deal towards clawing the performance back in these spots.
Why don't you just read the description instead of wasting the creators time with dumb questions? It clearly says in the description that it's still under development. It took me literally 2 seconds to find the section that said that. Why wait who knows how long for a reply, when you could just... find out the answer immediately on your own???
This mod is AWESOME. It really brings life to social areas. The only complaint I have is that main story NPC's faces are reused. I found a few Krogan with Wrex's face, and multiple people with Bailey's face. It really takes me out of my immersion to see all these story characters reused in this way. Surely there's enough "random npc" faces that this isn't necessary? It legitimately feels like Wrex and Bailey are stalking me. Could you maybe... Just.. remove Wrex and Bailey, and maybe just all the easily recognizable story characters from the NPC pool? That would be AMAZING. I'd rather see two random NPC's that I don't recognize, that look exactly the same, than Wrex everywhere I go. Other than that, amazing work! Thank you so much for this!

Here it is at 1440p on my 3060, 12400F CPU.

Really well done.
A rework on the Citaldel should be great too...
THANKS
Endorsed by heart!
