Not to obnoxiously suggest things for your mod, but if you were in the market to add something else to it, there are two other interesting ambient lines in that file that almost never fire.
One is Start Node 51 - about the investigation into Udina. It only gets triggered if Kaidan or Ashley's dead so again - almost never gets brought up. As far as I can see, it streams only right after the coup, but the comment on Kaidan or Ashley takes priority and only one ambient will fire per cycle.
The other one is a branch from Start Node 72. If Mordin's alive you get a discussion on transhumans. If Mordin isn't there then you get some interesting information about Eva Core and TIM's relationship. But it's kind of interesting on its own. Might be interesting to add it as its own extra interaction on the condition that Mordin is around (or rather, didn't die in ME2 - because there might not be time for it while Mordin's on the ship, but the interaction is pretty non-timeframe specific).
Anyway, again, absolutely not to be the "omgs make it do this too!" person. I just really like the idea, and on the offchance that information is useful to you, please feel free to use or disregard.
Thanks again for making this ambient easier to hear!
Hello becca, thank you for liking the mod, and I'm glad to see you around!
Thanks for the ideas, too -- but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do any further edits to the ambients there without also editing the big sequence that controls them in BioD_Nor_201BridgeCon.pcc.
You are absolutely right that only one ambient fires per cycle, and that's why some of the lines are difficult to trigger; I was able to make this mod very easily because there was a very convenient unused mission reaction (after Tuchanka: Turian Platoon). That's where the ambient about TIM and Eva Coré was, but it never played because of the starter node order (I did wonder whether that was an accident or a deliberate choice to cut it, but I'm leaning towards deliberate choice). So I just moved the node up and swapped the IFF and the TIM/Coré dialogue, so that the former is its own reaction now and the latter is an alternate branch for when Mordin's dead.
But, since only one ambient plays per mission cycle, if I wanted the TIM/Coré and Udina investigation ambients to play on their own, I fear I'd either have to replace some other mission reaction, or mess with the fairly complex cockpit conversations sequence (not to mention that'd mean another edited file, and therefore more potential for future mod conflicts).
Nice to see you around too! :D And yeah, that's fair. The reason I know about it is that I was considering trying to repurpose a conversation (the Udina one) for a different mod of mine. It turned out that wouldn't work for unrelated reasons but I did consider whether it could be fixed with just conditional edits and came to a similar conclusion as you about not trashing other reactions' timings. Though I'd assumed it could be just a LOC edit rather than needing to edit the bridge file. In which case yeah, absolutely, you'll run into a lot more conflicts and it's probably not super worth it.
Really nice that you could more easily solve getting this one in the game though. It's a really nice interaction.

PS: The compatibility info for Project Variety could be in the description ;)
What EDI mod have you used for her to look like that? =O
The EDI mod is Matching Fatigues, I link to it in the Acknowledgements part of the mod description :)
