Man I've downloaded over a couple hundred mods for all 3 games and endorsed many of them for how much they've enhanced the experience of the trilogy and each game but this one. This one made me decide I have to leave a comment. I'm unsure how to express just how amazing it was. I didn't have the mod installed for the first dream that happens, after Priority Mars I guess. I installed it while I was approaching missions on Tuchanka and saw the first remade dream after finishing Tuchanka.
Man. Absolutely blown away. The feels. It was haunting it was heart wrenching and holy s#*! it felt like a real nightmare. Saw a shred of hope amongst all the loss? Vaporized. Face to face with a reaper accepting your own end and failure. Man I had goosebumps for a solid minute there, barely heard what Liara was saying in the next cutscene and absentmindedly chose some option on the dialog wheel when it came up. What a triumph this mod is. It goes above and beyond what Bioware did to get inside Shepard's psyche and show the real extent of the hopelessness and despair hiding underneath the surface. I did not expect such detailed and well done animations and camera shots. It's all so cinematic too! Amazed. One of the most game changing mods out there! Frankly ridiculously good!
so i already started a playthrough and im up to the Coup. am i able to install this mod and it still work properly or is it more likely i need to wait until i start another playthrough?
I don't know what the default choices are when starting a new game, if it considers that Zaeed or Kasumi died in the Suicide mission they will appear, but if it consider them never recruited they will not be there.
Just came here to say how much I appreciate your work (which I do not do often) — this is so much better, than original sequences. Great job in terms of logic and consistency, and cinematography is exceptional. Simple, yet very impactful 👍
WoW, this is really cool. I used other dreams mods in the OT, but by far this one is the best. Sure, I can talk about different characters appearing in the dreams, but this is personal preference.
Technically, it's well implemented and lore friendly. Really liked the 3rd and last dream, caught myself saying loudly "nooooo"... LOL
I followed a modding guide which had me install an old version of this mod which caused a soft lock in the first dream sequence due to the Kaiden Overhaul. Now, theoretically if I were to update your mod now (1.2.1 to 1.2.2), after already having installed the texture mods, would that have a lot of potential of breaking things in the future? Tbh I'm looking for any excuse not to download all the mods again because it takes ages.
It's likely to break some textures during the Dreams and the cutscenes around it. Instead I'd advise using the Mod Manager to Disable Dreams Remade or Kaidan Overhaul for the duration of the first Dream and reactivating it afterward, it should be safer.
