For one thing the player, and thus their Shepard, may not like her. Therefore, her holding on to something so personal is just weird and jarring. I take the same issue with her having his dog tags. They should have either gone to a love interest, if Shepard had one in ME1 which wasn't Liara. Or been given to Anderson if he has an Earthborn/Colonist background. Or his MOTHER if he was a Spacer.
Two, it reinforces the fact that she's a Mary Sue writers' pet and is shoehorned in at every opportunity as the person closest to Shepard, when that simply isn't the case for my Shepard. He has never romanced her and generally avoids friendship with her.
This Mod enables those of us who don't like her, and who's Shepard aren't close to her, the choice of removing this ridiculous thing from the game and making our playthroughs actually feel like ours, and not a Dev/Liara wet dream.
I find it a little creepy because of how the vanilla game handles paragon dialogue with romanceable characters. My Shepard liked Liara as a friend, so she often picked paragon dialogue options which led to Liara coming on to her and insisting they had a "connection". My Shep turned Liara down when she made a move in ME1 and thought that was that. Then in ME2 my Shepard already felt conflicted about Liara tracking down her body and giving it to Cerberus in the first place, so it felt even weirder to see her N7 armor in Liara's apartment (especially since it's displayed kind of like a treasured artifact or even a shrine). This stuff is a big part of why I love the Optional Flirting Mod and will be downloading this mod too.
Same. She always came across as a stalker. Looking you up on the net, going and finding your body to give to Cerebrus, keeping your armor, Matriach Atheyta suggested you are a couple even when you locked in a romance with someone else. I am not entirely sure she doesn't impregnate herself at the end when she offers to share a moment with you. I just never saw the appeal when you have more interesting characters like Garrus, Tali, Jack, Thane, etc.
I got nothing against the idea, however I do take issue with the new conversation piece. Doesn't really look like anything Prothean, but a generic rock with mismatched texture. Perhaps using the sphere artifact or a scaled down model of Prothean beacon would work better.

Not my mod, not my problem, but I'm kinda curious why someone would find that creepy.
If you romance her that's understandable

Hope this helps in your understanding. :)
