There is a good reason, and this is a non-issue.

Asteroid X57 is directly over a planet, on a direct collision course to impact. It's the mission for "Bring Down the Sky" DLC.

Not true, the author points out the planet Terra Nova in one of their images (which can be verified in-game).

What's more, the "planet" that you claim X57 is directly over "on a direct collision course to impact" has no revolution line. Not to mention it's specifically stated in-game that X57 is on a collision course toward Terra Nova.

      Wiki:
X57 is a metallic asteroid, originally located at the trailing Lagrange point of the gas giant Borr. With the increased development on Terra Nova, a new orbital port facility was necessary. Due to a shortage of funding, it was decided to 'mine out' X57, using the recovered resources to finish out the interior for habitation. The asteroid was decelerated from Borr's orbit using fusion torches, allowing it to fall into the orbit of Terra Nova.

Recently, communications with the engineering team on X57 have been lost. The fusion torches have reignited, and the asteroid is accelerating towards Terra Nova.

It's nothing I ever noticed but it's getting installed. I love the care modders put into fixing big and little things.

    It seems just technical solution.

What do you mean? It is kind a technical solution? It was a very fast fix since im new to modding. You cant see it but i replaced the terra nova texture with a moonish one and removed the atmosphere on this X57. So on zoom in you see not terra nova but this spherical planetoid.

I moved the asteroid closer to Terra nova as well. But thats it. It was a very fast fix, im sorry if you expected more, but im not at that level yet. I seek to be there tho, so there might be updates.

I mean why there is a planet instead of asteroid in vanilla galaxy map. Ur mod is good. Better than main music replacer :)

"technical solution" yeah but i'd call it a lazy solution considering BioWare made unique planets/satellites/ships etc. for just about every other location and couldn't bother to even use a rock they MUST have lying around in the game somewhere. But yeah, I'm also glad this mod exists even though I never noticed it myself :)

Ah yeah, i played though the game (passing X57 in the process) and wanted to start a bigger project for ME1 modding, and i thought i could use X57 for this project. I could vividly remember it beeing an asteroid tumbeling on the map. I resetted the game twice to original (cause i modded it) trying to undo the damage i might have via modding... untill i found out on youtube that this is base game content and no modding mistake. Since i already had the tools to my disposal i made this very fast fix.
