Hey everyone!
It's been a while since I've shared an update on LE1 Diversification Project. This mod is of course a huge undertaking, but even with the Citadel update done, there's still a long way to go.
The next feature update will be for Noveria, which features the only other true 'hub' areas in the game outside the Citadel. Feros technically has Zhu's Hope, which will of course be covered in the Feros update, but Noveria is the only one with any real substance to it.
There's also a lot of room for improvement with Noveria - mainly centered around immersion and mood. MELLO has done a fantastic job restoring the atmosphere of the planet, but I feel that some ambient decorative design is in order. So here's a taste of what will be coming when Feature Update #2 drops later in February in March.

The Grizzly rover that you could take control of in the Port Hanshan garage in OT has been restored!

A classic feature from ME1Recalibrated: the creatures encountered on Noveria will now be labeled as 'Unknown' until someone tells you what they are.

A whole new cutscene with Tartakovsky has been restored - his wounds have been edited to make this conversation possible (he gets to keep his lungs this time haha)

The alarm system at Peak 15 has been overhauled. Red lights will flash if the station turns hostile. Activating the Neutron Purge will also activate this alarm (but with a different sound + restored Mira line)

Asari Commandos have been given a makeover, with a more detailed mesh taken from ME3 MP, and retextured by hand for more outfit variety (currently 4 variations).

The Binary Helix logo never saw use in ME1 despite it being in the files, so it's been added along with the ERCS logo for some background lore POIs.

Salarians have been added to ERCS, and new animations for Alestia to improve immersion.

In order to reinforce the sense of dread, more ambient corpses have been littered across Peak 15. These ones were lucky enough to be laid to rest under a tarp.

These poor souls at Central Station....not so much.

A massacre at the Tram...

The Asari overhaul continues, with Mallene Callis and Alestia Iallis receiving facial overhauls and conversation lighting edits.

Mira now has a new, unique hair mesh.
On top of this, you can expect:
- Over 100 lines of restored dialogue
- Port Hanshan hub overhaul, particularly the NPC population
- Peak 15 immersion pass with more gore and corpses
- Dynamic Rift Station alarm system
- Almost every single conversation improved with new manually placed dynamic lights to improve mood/illuminate unlit NPCs
- And much more, which will be revealed when the update drops next month!
See you then!
- Audemus

I'm looking into the possibility of having some voiced female turians in the mod, but that's a consideration for later.
Now, finding out that LE had it removed? That explains a lot. I'm glad it's coming back!
