Did you load this mod in the end of mod list? I use 1.06 meta Frosty Mod manager to install it. I put it in the top of mod lists. The game still have 3rd person view for me.
Does this only work with frosty mod manager? Because the tool doesnt load the game regardless if a mod is selected or not. And any tips to how to install this exactly might help just incase some of us are doing it wrong.
Thank you for the wonderful mod! Could you make a version so that the fov in the exploration, combat and sprint mode is the same? I am not a fan of changing the fov at all, I like maximum realism, so I would like the fov to change only when aiming with optics.
I presume by the pic and this note "Player mesh is hidden due to the high amount of clipping" it means you do not see your weapon and arms in 1st person?
If not, Wavebend made a 1st person mod where you could see everything and it worked imo near perfect (few things needed tweaking, but was amazing). Have you taken a look at how he did it? His file is hidden at the moment, but not sure you used that as reference or not.
I dont have the game installed at the moment, have just been waiting for a first person update.
I searched all across the web and managed to find a fbmod file from Waveband but I think his mod isnt working with the current version of ME:A as I wasnt able to move my camera.
When I decided to make my own, I first tried without hiding the mesh but you always end up with the players head clipping, especially during mantles, evades and sprinting.
If you have a fbproject file of Waveband’s mod I’m happy to take a look!
I suspect the issue can be solved by somehow hiding only parts of the player mesh but I wouldnt know how.
Another solution could be to attach the camera to the weapon bone with an offset but I also dont know how to do that.
Just checked, I dont have the project file, I forget if he offered that or not... maybe wavebend will pop up at some point and see this to help, or can combine efforts :)
I recently found the old mod. Someone on reddit posted on google drive (link is at the top of this post). I installed, but I have a similar problem with look when the gun is drawn that breaks the game. Having hands, gun, body visible really does improve immersion. It would be awesome to take the mesh from Wavebends and put it into this much smoother mod -- as if it is that simple haha. Thought I'd post the link tho in case anyone wants to look into this (pretty please)
