update 18/05/2020 added option b This is a reshade version which may possibly help if you are having issues with the sweetfx version. Specifically windows 10, possibly ATI video card issues.
If you are having issues note remove the sweetfx version download option b and then: Copy the contents of the zip file to the install folder of mass effect andromeda, the folder which contains MassEffectAndromeda.exe with exception of the folder 'optional'.
Testing: Reshade can be tested by pressing F1 in game (toggles the shaders on / off) By pressing 'shift - F2' you get a config overlay of reshade it self.
This is such a very good mod I wish more would try it.. Also I was wondering if this would work in Dragon Age Inquisition I think they use the same engine
Thank you for the endorsement! Regarding DAI, maybe you have already seen it, but a similar mod (with 3dmigoto, etc) can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/2858
And yes DAI and mass effect Andromeda both use the frostbite engine. https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Engine:Frostbite_3
ME:A Version 1.10 On win 10, I have to change the dxgi.dll to dxgi.dll.bak to get the game to launch after installing this. Error message "the procedure entry point createdxgifactory2 could not be located" when attempting to launch game otherwise. Does this prevent any of the effects from functioning?
Edit: I tried the split screen test and got nothing, so I'm guessing this is no-functional with 64-bit win 10? I tried copying the dxgi.dll from WINDOWS/System32 as well. Game launches, no effects. Copied dxgi.dll from suggested download in description. Errors again. Tried renaming dll files d3d11 as seen on some other sites about this issue with other games, then the launch gets even more errors about different dll files. I really like the look, but it clearly hates something about my game.
Regrettable that you are having such issues. I had a look and it seems that certain games and possibly certain versions of windows 10 don't get along to well with the 64 bit version of sweetfx (dxgi.dll = sweetfx 64bit).
There are a number of suggestions made with varying degrees of success, one being setting the executable of the game to for instance 'windows 7 compatible' but in most cases it still results in errors or black screens.
So I added a reshade version essentially the same shaders but then with the reshade proxy (dxgi.dll 64bits). I hope that this helps you and possibly other people with a similar issue. See for option b: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/794?tab=files
Just as a note remove the sweetfx version download option b and then: Copy the contents of the zip file to the install folder of mass effect andromeda, the folder which contains MassEffectAndromeda.exe with exception of the folder 'optional'.
