I'm not sure I fully understand how this mod works. Does the one drone mine ALL available ressources in that area or only the ones that are currently being detected as normal? In the latter case, that would mean that we would lose out on all those other minerals, no?
i just read the description, and it looks like it's the second one, and the ammount depends a lot on how high that mineral is in the mining radar. kind of bummer i guess, but it still beats spending almos 10+ minutes looking for minerals..
Just can't seem to make this mod work. It's the only mod i have running, so it shouldn't be a compatibility issue. Do i have to start a new game for it to work?
Hello, I can't get this mod to work. I have no other mod that touches the Nomad, I put it first in my loading list, but when I launch a probe, it does not exhaust the vein that remains "rich". Where can the problem come from ?
EDIT : sorry, just realized my (stupid) mistake. I had loaded the files in Frosty after having extracted the archive whereas it was necessary to load the archive directly... Since I proceeded like this, your mod works. Thank you for him, he changes my life !
This mod is a MUST because of how glitchy, tedious and unrewarding vanilla mining works. Use this before touching any mining node. It does conflict with Road Rage mods, so switch this on, get your minerals then switch back to road rage, no big deal.
Crazy how badly they missed the mark with this feature...
Frosty indicates this mod conflicts with Road Rage - Mobility, specifically the file: game/vehicle/mako/mako (vehicle blueprint). I'll test it out and report back any findings :)
Without Road Rage - Mobility loaded, this mod works great, does what it says on the tin With Road Rad - Mobility loaded first and this mod second, the benefits of Road Rad on the Nomad are lost, but this mod works great, no issue. With this mod loaded first and Road Rage - Mobility loaded after, Road Rage - Mobility features seem to work fine, and this mod mostly still works. In my testing I found that the mining scanner will still top out - but the mining zones I tested with on Eos (Presson Dunes) seemed to require on average 2 drone launches to deplete the zone.
All in all good mod, I'm using it in the third configuration above - thanks a lot!
Only this mod: Nomad auto-drives in circles forward, you can't steer left, or right, but can jump, turn the radar, etc. Hitting reverse, stops you in place (auto-forward + manual backwards = 0).
This, and other mods: Nomad drives only backwards, you can turn the mineral radar on\off, but can't do anything else, even steer.
So yeah, somethings "wonky", like other people reported here, and on the "Bugs" pages.
