This will allow you to use controller emulators like X-padder for ME Andromeda.
Unbound all controller buttons ONLY IN COMBAT & EXPLORATION except for the D-Pad (All else remains as default bindings).
Now you have the freedom to emulate!

Controller Freedom 
This will allow you to use controller emulators like X-padder for ME Andromeda.
Unbound all controller buttons ONLY IN COMBAT & EXPLORATION except the D-Pad (All other controller bindings unchanged).
Keyboard controls unchanged.
Now you have the freedom to emulate!

I STRONGLY recommend using Favorite Swapping Overhaul with this mod. It gives you the freedom to use all powers on demand via controller without pausing.
To make it work with new games:
1) Go to [Game]+[Settings]+[Controls]+[Configuration] menu
2) Select the [DEFAULT] controller profile if not already selected
3) Exit & CONFIRM control change if prompted
4) Go to [Game]+[Settings]+[Controls] menu
5) Set [Controller Dead Zone] to Maximum
6) Use your emulator of choice
7) Start a new game
To make it work with saved games:
1) Go to [Game]+[Settings]+[Controls]+[Configuration] menu
2) Switch to any of the controller profiles BUT [DEFAULT]
3) Exit & CONFIRM control change
4) Go back into [Configuration] menu
5) Switch to the [DEFAULT] controller profile
6) Exit & CONFIRM control change
7) Go to [Game]+[Settings]+[Controls] menu
8) Set [Controller Dead Zone] to Maximum
9) Use your emulator of choice
