N7 Infiltrator Armor

Armour set to look similar to Alec Ryder's N7 look for those who play as an Infiltrator.

I've always enjoyed playing as an Infiltrator in the Mass Effect Series and I really liked the look of Alec Ryder's N7 armor that was introduced in Mass Effect Andromeda. However, the Pathfinder Armour set is not meant for Infiltrators as the ideal bonus stats are found in the Outlaw set. Even if I was to use the Pathfinder set, I would lose the N7 look of the chest piece when developing Rank 3 or above. This armour swap mod makes this desired look possible.

Changes all Outlaw pieces, regardless of rank to the following:
  • Helmet: Pathfinder Scout (Rank 3-4 Look)
  • Chest: Pathfinder (N7 Logo, I.E. Rank 1-2 Look)
  • Arms: Pathfinder Scout (Rank 3-4 Look)
  • Legs: Pathfinder Scout (Rank 3-4 Look)

Went with Scout mostly as it added some small armouring compared to Alec's actually suit without adding any bulk to the overall look given that you are playing a manoeuvring infiltrator, not a heavy solider.

Requirements and Recommendations
As with all Mass Effect Andromeda mods, you will need to use Frosty Mod Manager to use this mod.

I also highly recommend that you install the MEA Fix Pack by NightWolf2503 as there is a long standing bug that prevents you from developing some of the Outlaw Armour set beyond Ranks 4 or 5. The Fix pack will allow you to develop all parts from Ranks 1 to 10 as originally intended.

Using the Fix Pack will require you to start a new game either as a fresh character or importing a save for a New Game + Run. This mod will work with both methods.

Install Guide
Simply download the Zip file to your chosen location of MEA mods.

Launch Frosty Mod Manager and click on "Import Mods", find Zip file and click "Open"

Highlight the mod on the list of "Available Mods" and click on "Apply Mod(s)" button.

Make sure mod has a tick in the "Applied Mods" list.

There is no specific place on the order list this mod should go but be mindful of mod order if you use other armor mods in case of conflicts.

Compatibility and Conflicts
This mod only works on version 1.10 of Mass Effect Andromeda due to the build of the Frosty Editor used to create the armour swap.

Naturally this mod will conflict with any mods you have applied that alter the Outlaw Armour set so do not attempt to use this if another mod is applied that alters any of the Outlaw armour variants.

There are no conflicts I have found with other armor swap mods you may have installed that have nothing to do with the Outlaw set.

F.A.Q's
Q: "Is this mod only for Male Ryder or can it also work for Female Ryder?"

A: Given that I found no female specific Pathfinder or Outlaw data in Frost Editor, this mod should work for both genders.

Q: "Why not swap with the classic N7 Armour?"

A: I prefer the classic N7 Armour as the choice for my Biotic Powered character, given that Biotics are the focus for the bonus stats. Plus I don't like the idea of bulky armour being used on someone who is suppose to be quick and stealthy.

Q: "Why offer an N7 look when the Ryder children are not N7 Ranked Operatives?"

A: While I can see the argument that the Ryder kids are doing nothing more than a "Conrad Verner" by slapping a cheap knockoff N7 look on, the N7 look is intrinsically linked with Mass Effect and people such as myself like using them. Plus as the Ryder's can say to Bradley on Eos, they are using the N7 armour inherited from their father as a sign of respect and honouring his memory.

Q: "My Infiltrator build does not used the full Outlaw Armour set. I Min/Max my Infiltrator build by using different armour pieces for their bonus stats. Can I request a version of this N7 look with my list of used pieces of Armour?"

A: I can't realistically respond to requests for variants of this armour swap. I've kind of put this together quickly mostly for my own benefit when I replay my Infiltrator and likely won't have the time to make potentially many combinations of variants based on people's individual Infiltrator builds.

Q: "Can you at least offer a guild on how to make my own Armour Swap mod?"

A: I sure can. I followed this guide made by DeltaType90 here on the Nexus. I have no programming, texturing or 3D modelling knowledge at all and even I was able to put together this armour swap.
