Latest version ( 0.58 ) fixes previous version problems with lighting and colors (psychedelic rainbow hue, etc). Ray tracing parameters were pointed as the cause, those have now been removed.
This just doesn't do anything for me ,and I don't know why but the core/thread edit makes the game have a infinite loading screen,I have a 9700k Intel, wich has 8 core's / 8 threads but it just doesn't work..
yes, its really get better if u use this command variables for different processors, its like 15-20 more fps for me, u better include this commands in the mod destription, because its the main fix, and not many people checking READ.ME
Playing on fmm, tried it in andromeda directory and in moddata, does absolutely nothing either way, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong Playing on rx 560 i5 7400 lowest possible settings with fxaa, my gpu is overclocked and I'm still sitting at 40-50 fps most of the time with or without this file regardless of where it's placed
Is there a way to improve the shadow quality somehow? My in game shadows are pixelated after using this mod, and i cant uninstall it because it makes certain textures black if i remove it.
Trying to hash out this game's poor optimizations with raw power and proper settings, can someone help me get the right settings for my build? Especially when it comes to cores and thread usage?

Average In-game FPS: 60.1 (How it normally runs due to FPS throttle) Low FPS: 38.7 (When the Tempest is parked on the Nexus, 43.2 in some other areas aboard the Tempest) Lowest FPS: 16.3 (Cutscenes, jumps to this number for a few seconds before recovering when the camera zooms in on people)
Do I use these settings in the USER.CFG? And would it improve FPS in some of my Low/Lowest cases if I did? thread.processorcount 10 thread.maxprocessorcount 10 thread.minfreeprocessorcount 0
I noticed the fps tanks when I'm orbiting the Nexus and head to the cockpit. If your RTX 3090 runs as badly as my GTX 1660, I fear no mod will solve this issue. I wish they'd release some next gen patch to at least fix the damn bugs.
Turn off vsync at least if you have a G-sync/Freesync monitor, just eats your fps unnecessarily.
Edit: Ah, noticed you're running on 4k. Though, I don't think it should dip to 16 fps.
Yeah, same result here. The framerate is at pretty smooth 60 in-between all the micro-stutters. But having a tad lower framerate is preferable to having stutters.

If you're using Frosty Mod Manager (Frosty Tool Suite), its author suggests to place the USER.CFG file into the "ModData" directory.

This "mod/tweak" was tested (and works) with game version 1.05, and should also work with all future patches/versions.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS MOD IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE POSTING BELOW.
Please don't waste my time and yours with silly remarks or with complaints, for things that the description had already adressed.

But yeah... over 260 endorsements versus one troll comment.
