Because I wanted to. :P As I've written in the description I originally wanted to make them be different shades of grey, but that isn't yet possible to do with Frosty. I'm currently playing through the game with the dark grey version and I really like the way they look. I also use a mod by LadyG that makes their eyes red. It gives them a quite sinister look.
