I know this is a probably not going to get anywhere, but the required mod you have listed (Frosty Tool Suite for MEA) has beed hidden, and this is the reason given: "Hidden at 21 Feb 2024, 9:20AM by Pickysaurus for the following reason: Does not include the files it advertises".
So, seems the required mod was a sham, and so I am wondering if this will work without it, since it apparently did not perform as described?
The last patch released for MEA was focused entirely on multiplayer content. There was no need to update mods that only rely on singleplayer files because these files weren't changed by the patch.
Had to deal with these doors for a couple of years since I played the game on console. Now that I can play it on PC...this mod is a blessing. Thank you!
Same here. I remember downloading this mod in 2017. Decided to replay the game this summer and thought to myself "Huh, would I really need this mod after 5 years and 10 patches?" The first time I landed on Kadara and tried to go back to the Tempest, I realized that yes, I absolutely need this mod. It's mandatory, in fact, for any playthrough. Damn, what were they thinking?
ahh...thinking back to the time when Mea first came out and I didn't know what mods are...how did I ever finish the game with all those doors lol Anyway THANK YOU
Hah I did instal this mod with the others when I just started to play. When I finally reached Kadara I was curious and disabled mod to find out difference. WTF what they were thinking? holding button for almost 5 seconds to open a door... wow
My guess, after finishing the game, is that they wanted to artificially lenght the game any way they could. Kadara doors seemed like a good call for that, it gives the illusion of the city being bigger than it actually is. Kadara port is more like a small village, kinda ridiculous.
It was created with version 1.09 of the game, 1.10 was a multiplayer related patch that affected almost no singleplayer files. I compared the files back when the update was released, the only difference are the variables I changed so updating the mod is not necessary.
There is a lot of other mods for this game that show they're outdated for the same reason. Don't worry about it as long as the mod in question is working correctly.
Yes, you'll need Frosty Mod Manager to install most of the mods on here. There are some exceptions, like Reshade presets or custom settings, but everything that edits in-game content requires Frosty to work.
If you're having trouble getting started, there is a tutorial on how to use the Mod Manager here.
