For the visor color edits, you don't need anything except Frosty's Tool Editor. It's simple editing, changing values. Not texture painting or mesh editing.
You open MEA in the editor, you expand the directories to find the helmet model, select and double click the helmet mesh to open it's properties, expand Materials>Shaders>VectorParameters and find things like Opacity and VisorColor and edit it's XYZW values which are basically RGBW values.
For some reason, Bioware didn't follow the same folder structure for males and females. So generally male helmet folder structure are like: game/characters/human/hmm/0_armors/hmm_arm_heleus/model/hmm_arm_heleus_helmet_model_mesh and female helmets are in a folder structure like: game/characters/human/hmf/0_helmets/hmf_arm_heleus/model/hmf_arm_heleus_helmet_model_mesh
There are some Frosty Tool Tutorials if you want to read up on things like editing weapon values and cooldowns, etc.
Could we ever get an answer on what exactly did you change the XYZW Values to? Because it's been hours and the only outcomes I get are a clear nonexistent color like if the glass was removed and one that is a plastered white that's solid but sadly just plain white
Hi. I rarely come to the Nexus to maintain my mods for games I no longer play. So sorry for not noticing your message.
I don't remember anything specific about making this mod. But my description on the very first one I did says: "Thanks to his comments explaining what he changed, I opened up Frosty Editor and found the female and male meshes and changed the visor colors to X=0, Y=0, Z=0, W=0. I wasn't sure what this would look like in game."
If I remember correctly, I was having issues with other values when messing about with it. So I'm not sure if you'll have any luck with it.
