This mod changes the Deep Space Explorer Helmet visor from a blue frosty hue to a transparent black.
With vanilla, it was a blue hue and it was causing an ugly effect with eyelashes looking very prominent through the visor whilst the rest of the face was opaque.
Massive thanks to Nightscrawl who released No Glow Heleus. I really liked how he made the Heleus visor look in that mod and I wanted a similar thing for the Deep Space Explorer helmet. I wanted the visor to look more like the Vanilla Initiative visor.
He released an optional file for me and I greatly appreciate it but it still had the issue with the eyelashes.
Thanks to his comments explaining what he changed, I opened up Frosty Editor and found the female and male meshes and changed the visor colors to X=0, Y=0, Z=0, W=0. I wasn't sure what this would look like in game.
As I finished, I checked the nexus and found that CREWS4DER had just released Blacked Out Visor Compilation. So I figured someone's done the job already. Typical luck.
But upon checking his mod out, I realised his mod makes the visor an opaque black whilst mine was a transparent black.
So variety is the spice of life. I like seeing my character's face and I like that +10% XP. Maybe others do too.
