- Optimized Vignette to be easier on the eyes (default settings were ok at first, but not for long term gameplay)
- Offset Black Levels (originally set to match the blackpoint of the game, but now it's one level lighter)
I've only had this game for a few days or so, please bear with me. It takes a little bit of time to get the overall balance just right. So far I think this might be the final version.....or not. (see below lol)
Uploaded v1.02 ---------------------
- Optimized DPX saturation (noticed a few areas that could benefit from this)
- Removed FilmGrain from the preset (decided that I preferred a cleaner look)
- AdaptiveSharpening is now set to neutral 0.5 (increase this value if you use Ultra HD resolutions)
I'm liking it better this way, and will continue playing so I can see how the rest of the game looks.
Uploaded "Type I & II" -----------------------------
- Type I is for the hardcore and looks better overall, but can be a bit intense in some areas.
- Type II is all about high precision graphics. You'll get a well balanced image that stays true to the game.
- Both presets include an optional LUT palette that you can toggle on/off by pressing the PgUp key. (disabled by default)
Thanks to everyone who downloaded and endorsed this file!
I hope to see this modding community grow, and the support here is greatly appreciated.
I found an erroneous value in the "Type II" preset and re-uploaded the files. This would have affected the first 12 downloaders. Sorry for the inconvenience, please use the version uploaded on June 5th.
I love this mod; however I've not been able to use the LUT Palette because when I enable it, the game literally generates a blank image. Open to suggestions because I've never had the opportunity to see the difference with the LUT Palette. It sounds like an upgrade to the regular color palette, so I'd love to know more about it. Any idea how to prevent the game from not generating any image when LUT is enabled?
Should probably note; If there's anything in nVidia Control Panel I should enable or disable as well, please let me know of any potentially offending settings that could contribute to this issue within NCP.
Fantastic work on the ReShade though because the lines have more definition right from the title screen (the rings on the planet are actually discernible as being a series of rings rather than a blur of them). I love how sharp the imagery is, and it makes the game so much clearer and visually beautiful the way it should've been from the start.
Wow, i never expected to see mods already available for Andromeda. Least of all those that take care of the visuals, which are my favorite ones.
Your preset looks fabulous, i'll try it out once i start playing ME: Andromeda in earnest (have to finish Inquisition first).
*Edit* Lol, that didn't take long. Installed and working perfectly! Saying it's beautiful, isn't doing it justice.
Since my Andromeda installation wasn't at the default location i did have some trouble getting it too work. But thanks to this excellent video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8qHvyW4XRc i sorted out my troubles. The link might come in handy for other people who have trouble with getting Reshade to start.
So ah how do I get this to work in game? lol just kidding (well more like being an annoying pain in your caboose) looks great I am going to give it a try tonight. Thanks for sharing
Oh? lol All you do is download the file and it will automagically install itself and launch the game for you....Voila! jk
Well, my caboose appreciates it very much, and it's nice to see you on this side of the fence. Anytime, thanks for trying it out! I should probably mention that I haven't been to all areas of the game yet, not even close, so I hope it's ok for now. You know how RL always gets in the way of progress. >_<
One last thing, I would be thrilled to see some screenies. You're so much better at that stuff than I am. lol xD
Hey thanks! I could post my settings from the sliders instead. I'm very likely to change a few things after the new patch is released, which could possibly change everything. You're welcome to try the settings below in the meantime. Be sure to use Preset 5.
No worries, I thought it would be easier for me to post the slider settings instead of having to manage another file upload. Well, if you or anyone else would like to take ownership of my character schematic (slider settings) and upload it somewhere that's fine with me. Just tell 'em Bronze316 sent you.
I'll add some more screenshots soon....In the meantime, you're welcome to give it a try. Please let me know if you experience any issues, as I've only been playing this game for a couple of days.
Thanks Rick, it really does add that finishing touch to the game, or at least to me it does. I did make some last minute changes to the DOF last night, so maybe the FPS loss has increased a bit (will do some testing again). I think that might be the #1 culptrit, and next would be the Ambient Light. All other effects are absolutely required to get the intended look (please don't press F10 lol).
If only there was a way to utilize the existing native DOF that is in the game itself to stay on permanently, like KNGR did with the Witcher 3, looks fantastic and no FPS drop at all. Perhaps contacting him would help. Then your preset would run a lot fast as there would be no need for the DOF bit.
Now that would be nice! I wonder what ol' KNGR is up to these days. Although I'm not the type of person to make such a request, because making a mod like that would take quite a bit of time and effort. The toolset might not be up to code yet, since MEA modding is still in it's infancy. I think it's very possible in the near future.
Cool, I'm glad you like it! Thanks for your support as well!
Btw, I concluded a while back that the AmbientLight feature is the biggest culprit when it comes to FPS loss, then the DOF. I meant to update my comments here...RL has me very busy lately.

I only disable DoF because play with subtitles + often change my character, so i need to see what's written very clearly

Guy loves the game.
