Before I ramble on, in case you missed it, this is for the Deluxe Edition only. Sorry!
Also, I recommend completing the game first before using this. I shouldn't have to say this, but MAJOR SPOILERS, as it IS the last boss fight.
I was informed that your own difficulty setting can interfere with this, so set the difficulty to Insanity before loading the save, just in case. Make sure to LOAD, don't resume. Load the "Sara" autosave. It's a single file marked 4/29/17, labeled "Meridian Control Heart." Finish the battle. Y'know, run from one navpoint to the other, killing remnant and waiting, waiting, waiting. Once the credits roll, the achievement should pop.
The Ushior pistol does the most damage, but takes 5% health to refill ammo if you don't reload after every shot. The other firearms don't have any side effects. :)
