Would it be possible to get separate mods for these changes? I quite like some of them and would love to use them (like the exclamation mark fix in the menu) but I don't like others (for example, I actually want subtitles for NPC discussions) or already have other mods that change them (e.g., quest popups, etc.).
Sorry for the late reply, don't quite have as much time for this anymore.
Wish I could have created this mod in a modular way, but unfortunately that's not really a possibility with this game, unless each change is a different mod file.
EDIT: I'd rather not clutter the download section with a dozen different files but if what you're interested in is just the menu exclamation mark fix, check the files section. I uploaded a new file.
Ah, sorry for the late reply, it was a stressful month. Anyways, I appreciate your new upload with the exclamation fix a lot! I have already installed it! You just got a new endorsement.
Your series UI mods, and the others you suggest in combination, make a remarkable improvement to general quality of life when playing through this great game. Thank you!
Glad you like them! That was the intention: get rid of all the non-sense so one can focus on the actual game. I meant to make a video to showcase all the mods together, while comparing to vanilla, but got caught up with other things. May still do it some day.
Interesting to see new mods at the end of 2023 for MEA, yeah the game was much better with many essential mods to trim the game lighter, it was such a shame that the game was an unpolished and rushed project, because the graphics and combat were top-notch
I liked the game even when it came out, despite its many blemishes, but never got around to finishing it so I decided to give it another go. I wanted a change to a mod I liked and from there it snowballed as I found myself modding many other aspects of its UI mainly, which I find so absurdly overdone, with many elements being shown in 2 or even 3 instances, as if they couldn't trust the player with anything.

Glad you can make use of that optional file.
