Tried install with FMM on 20 Nov 2024, and it says "Archive contains no installable mods." Both drag & drop and hitting the Ad Mod button. Unzipped and tried it, same result.
EDIT: FMM doesn't like any format except .zip, and doesn't recognize this as a mod in 7z format. I extracted the files and put them in an actual .zip file, and it worked (tho it still tells me it's for a different version). Uploading this in a format that FMM recognizes would go a long way to solving a lot of the problems on this page.
Just extract the mod with 7-Zip and add the .fbmod file to Frosty directly. I just drag and dropped it on the FMM UI. It doesn't need to be in a .zip file.
I tried to drag and drop both files from the 7z file, then I extracted them and tried to drag and drop them both, and neither worked. No big deal, I got it installed.
But now the lighting got all weird and strobe-y and the text in dialogue responses disappeared. Not sure the cause, but it didn't happen before I installed it, and went away when I removed it. Might it be a load order issue or something?
As per reports from after the last time this game was patched: this still works. If you're about to drop a comment saying it doesn't, use that energy to figure out what you need to do.
I tried extracting it but that just gave an error when trying to load it. Couldn't force the Frosty Mod Manager to use it as it just failed to work while the extracted files were present. Using FMM version 1.0.5.9. I used to use the mod but now whatever I try I cant get it working any more. **EDIT** I got game working with Mod but the game now suffers freezing and some weirdness such as falling through ground right after leaving Tempest and subsequently dying. Also lots of stuttering and moments of freezing then total freeze. Playing Andromeda since release that had never happened before. Removed mod from Frosty list and game performs as usual... Since last Patch this mod is not behaving, Sad as it is a must have too.
This is almost 2 years late, but I ran into the same problem when using Frosty Mod Manager 1.0.6.3, but was able to fix it.
If anyone else has this problem: I extracted the files into a new empty folder then used 7zip to re-compress them into a .zip file (Instead of the .7z that the file is downloaded as). This fixed the issue and allowed Frosty Mod Manager to see that there was a mod.
This is a confirmation that Bioware hasn't actually played the game they've made. I'm playing on an Xbox console and forced to listen to the same monologue every time I enter a warm room to grab a loot. It's almost comical. SAM supposed to be smart, yet he acts like a badly programmed app from 2005.
Sometimes you have to play the game to realize how necessary a mod is. I saw this mod and the one that reduces landing scene length and thought, "Nah, can't be that bad." It's that bad. Any time a mission wants me to leave the Nexus and come back, I consider just skipping it outright. And SAM's incessant rambling as I scamper from one heat lamp to another has drowned out half the companion banter on Voeld. "Half" might actually be underselling the point. Thank you for this 100% necessary mod. You're doing God's work.
Can someone please make a mod that shuts up Cora's repeating line during combat about "Shields boosted" every few min?? :))) I would do it but I don't know how! :(
The annoying reminders ruined this game for me on ps4, then i looked and saw that this mod existed, so I bought it on pc solely for this modification. It saved the game for me, thanks. I also found lots of other great mods, this game is so much better on pc.

Get a message that it might not work with the current game version when you add it to Frosty but it still works.

A must-have mod, thank you.
