Am I understanding this right- this is just a retexture of the basic FemShep? Because I was going to restart the trilogy and rebuild my FemShep and loved the texture for ME1/2, but it seems that I couldn't have the same face texture on a custom FemShep- unless I've missed something?
You need to use save editor to apply this texture on custom Shep. For ME1 you can use my mod called Expanded Character Creation it adds this complexion to cc so it can be chosen for custom Shep. Keep in mind that you have to install ECC and ME1 version of this complexion for this to work. Also I am currently working on ME2-3 versions of ECC.
After using this for ME1/2, I got to 3 and... I can't make it work? I edit any of the settings in the save editor to what's in the description and Shepard turns into your edit of basic FemShep, instead of my custom FemShep with the texture. Any ideas?
Have you tried to edit some other aspects of your choosen save? Like paragon points to see if it works? Also you can try and load "preset" in save editor. I use build 90 and it has presets button under Player/Appearance section. When navigate through "Face/Female" and choose Shepard.me3appearance. This should apply default femshep textures on your character.
Oh I see, is there any chance you could explain the process of how you replaced it? I know default Shepards can't be edited via Gibbed save editor, so I assume there is another way to do it?
Yes. I replaced her hair mesh directly. This mod has a detailed tutorial explaining where and how to do that https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/745
