Just to be clear what do you mean with use the helix solution with reshade? Maybe what 'makron8' suggested ? Don't forget this mod is a combination of helix and sweetfx or sweetfx has similar functionality as reshade specifically in this case.
From description: Further a sweetfx tone map re-balances brightness, normalizes the color palette and a 'poor mans form of tessellation' gives the assets (objects, environment, etc) a bit of relief and more definition. Also added smaa so please disable AA in the game.
This is basically what I've been trying to do with Reshade (Obviously with varying results). Just to reduce the flattened color and fix up the fidelity lost by the DOF blur shader they used in the retail game. How does this perform as far as frame drop is concerned?
On a 1050 gtx ti the frame rate stays the same only the gpu usage increases with roughly 8% (mostly smaa).
sweetfx / helix 1080p@60fps* without - clock 1345Mhz gpu usage ~45% with - clock 1345Mhz gpu usage ~53% approximately 8% increase (1050gtx ti on win 7) max gpu: 1772Mhz gpu usage 100% *) Game is capped to 60.7 with fast sync through nvidia inpsector
