Hmmm, should this mod be used AFTER any mods other than ALOT and ALOV or it doesnt matter?

ME3OR doesn't have any dependencies on other mods, so as long as you install it generally in the content/DLC modding portion before texture/ALOT portion you should be good.

I had random freezes when using this during cutscenes & gameplay in Vancouver during the prologue.  And I’m not using ALOT or anything else that modifies this.

This mod does not touch anything gameplay related in any way, so if the issues persist after the cutscene is over and into actually rendered scene that would suggest that the problem is somehow outside of the mod.

As for the stuttering during the video, do you also have the ALOV mod installed and the 4K version of the mod's cutscene with it?
If so, I would suggest rereading ALOV's description and specifically, the "4K Resolution Disclaimer" section as using it can sometimes result in such stuttering.

such a weird opening. Why do the Alliance act like they don't know who the reapers are and why they are invading? It's like they never existed in ME1 and ME2 to learn the story. Also the extended text needs a correction. Reapers don't destroy every single organic beings, they only harvest the most advanced civilizations, otherwise there won't be another cycle. They left 'some' alive so they can keep on harvesting to preserve their own species as they return from Dark Space. Also, the text says 'But one soldier has seen the legend come to life' ? Err no. Thousands of people including the Council have seen Sovereign in action when it attacked the Citadel in ME1. Bioware is so funny.

Nice work! I always thought why the hell it was changed and now i can see the normal extended version again! Thanks!
I know one more video file that must be corrected... Its when the Normandy arrives to the Citadel right after the mission on Mars. The file called "ProCit_100_Arrival.bik".
There in the cutscene when the Normandy arrives to the Citadel space, there must be a mass relay and Normandy must go through it. But there is no mass relay when the Normandy arrives. And its VERY not logical !!! The Normandy just cant go in quick warp from the Sol system and right to the Citadel...
Logically it would take months or even a year to get to Citadel space just by warp jumps. It took the reapers half a year to get from the Bahak system to Sol system. And this given that their warp engines more perfect. And Normandy wouldn't have enough fuel for that warp distance.
And we can remember the similiar video cutscene from ME1 and there WAS a mass relay.
In ME2 there is a bit different and short video cutscene that starts from the moment where the normandy already in Citadel space so that doesnt count.
This thing VERY bothering me each time when im starting the game! And it must be corrected! There MUST BE a mass relay in the moment when the Normandy arrives to the Citadel space!
    P.S.
Sorry for caps lock... Its just my emotions... Im so ANGRY when i remembering about this thing... =))))))
Its just... Why the hell Bioware forget to add mass relay??? Breaking their own game with this little but important lore moments...

Thanks! And i have an idea about where you can get the normal texture of the mass relay. For example the cutscene where all fleets arriving to Sol system for final battle. The video file End01_Sword_intro_pt2.bik... Looking forward to see it! =)))))
But if it will be too hard to do this then maybe you can just cut first 15 seconds in "ProCit_100_Arrival.bik". And it will be a similiar to ME2 where the Normandy already in the Citadel space...

Does anyone have a link to this file? I would love to take a look at it, but don't own ME3 on pc.

The citadel relay is located inside the nebula, so you wouldnt see it with that camera angle. It is probably the case that the normandy came out of the nebula at ftl speed (or it just looks that way).

There is no sence in using FTL right after the mass relay cause the mass relay is pretty close to Citadel. And as i already said earlier, the Normandy just cant go in quick FTL from the Sol system and right to the Citadel. So the moment of Normandy's arriving its not exit from FTL, it's the moment of exiting from the "mass relay warp"(or what ever it's called on english).
And besides, you saying that mass relay "is located inside the nebula, so you wouldnt see it with that camera angle". Well first - remember the same moment from ME1. We can see the mass relay easily. And second - in the moment when the fleets arriving to Sol system the camera angle is almost the same (even closer) and we also can see the mass relay.
So there is no way to not seeing that giant thing.

The reason its not there is simple: time saving, everyone knows about the relays and if you don't you'll see them soon and it is a story thing too

Is there a way to make the ME3 opening skippable with this mod?

      No.
This mod extends the opening my restoring a scraped extended Opening cinematic from the glitched ME3 Xbox demo.
It does not aim to make it shorter or skippable.

Thanks for doing this. Quick question. Well, two actually.

    1) Is the basic opening cinematic upscaled in ALOV ME3 (Not necessarily the whole remaster)?
    2) Any thoughts on including this in the ALOT manifest, as ALOV is?

    Thanks!

It is not just a basic upscale, like the ones in ALOV.
This mod restores the scraped extended Opening cinematic from the glitched ME3 Xbox demo and because it is not vanilla in nature, it cannot be added to ALOT's script.
That plus ALOT installer cannot install mods that have modified pcc packages in them and ME3OR have those.

Another question Mellin, isn't the reworked opening scene already included in ALOV? Since it should include all pre-rendered cut scenes?
Otherwise great work! It's impressive what upscaling AIs are capable of already.

Comment from the Requirements section of the ALOV ME3 page:
ME3 Opening Remaster - The ALOV mod will not be overhauling the opening cinematic of ME3, We suggest you use this mod for this purpose.

i'm wondering, planning to install it along with ALOT (which includes ALOV) should i install this one before, during, or after ALOT? or does it not matter?

ALOT doesn't include ALOV. My guess, however, would be to install it before ALOT, since it always comes last. Except for other texture mods to improve on ALOT or add stuff which isn't covered by ALOT, which are installed afterwards, as far as I know.

ME3 Opening Remaster is a content dlc-based mod and as such it should always be installed before ALOT.

Hi! I've been meaning to ask, how did you manage to replace the original cutscene with your "enhanced" one? I'm currently working on a mod that aims to replace the Citadel loading screen with the cutscene that plays after Priority:Mars. I already extracted the necessary assets (movies and the sounds), I even located the package (it's BioA_Cat003_000Docking i think)....however I don't know what to do next...it's to damn messy. Nice work btw.

I created a dlc based empty mod and put a new bik file with the same name, but new content in its movies subfolder.
