As someone who has modified the Defender armor extensively, I went to check this mod out and the texture work is impeccable. However, there are four problems with it. The first is that the textures are in the wrong format. They are formatted DXT3. They need to be in DXT1 or DXT5 depending on the individual texture. The diffuse should be DXT1 and the spec map should be DXT5 with interpolated alpha. The spec map is actually one of my spec maps from a very old version of my Defender mod that was housed on the BSN. The next problem is that it doesn't have a normal map and includes another texture that goes with James Vega's armor, not this one. This has been worked over to an extent and looks pretty good. It just doesn't go with Shepard's armor. The last issue is that there is no normal map for this texture and the one that goes with Shepard's Defender armor in the stock game is very poor.

User's of a lot won't have this issue as they'll get my normal map and a newer version of the spec map. As I said the diffuse map is great, but the spec map doesn't go with it as it was made by me, for my version of the Defender armor.

I tried to use ME3 explorer's TPF tool to replace permanently. Doesn't seem to work. Help please?

Its in the wrong format. You have to run the TPF tools and hit "autofix" for this to work.

It just replaces the texture on the armor set. I haven't done anything beyond that, and don't plan to.
