I'm running into the same problem as several other people: I installed various mods via ALOT, then installed the casual outfit. It screwed up his face texture, so I reinstalled that (again via ALOT), but doing that screwed up his outfit. I tried converting his casual outfit to a MEM like someone suggested, but had the same result. At this point I'm not sure what to do to make the outfit and the face play nice together, unless it's something like overwriting the relevant .pcc files before I install ALOT or something.

For reference, I'm using the ME1 Kaidan face and the matching version of this outfit, and I wasn't able to install the ME1 Kaidan face via ME3 Explorer (it kept telling me most of the files weren't valid because they couldn't be found in the tree).

I am currently not active in modding/playing Mass Effect (waiting on the remaster ) but I will hop in to say that all mesh mods must be installed before installing ALOT. That's all the support I can give on the matter, however. I'm so far out of the loop these days...

Also you have to be sure the textures are scanned into the tree first. ALOT changes the info. That's why ME3Explorer can't find them.

I am trying to load textures through ME3explorer but in instructions tell me to uncheck HMM_ARM_CTHb_Nav but these are the only files that show up in ME3explorer. don't see ones with Kaid in them. Can you help?

Just be sure the only HMM_ARM_CTHb_Nav files that are checked point to BioH_Kaidan_00_NC.pcc (be it the main game install, the DLC, or both) in the 'PCC' tab of TPFTools and you should be fine. If it points to *any* other file besides BioH_Kaidan_00_NC.pcc, uncheck that file in the 'PCC' tab before installing. Any textures installed to any file other than BioH_Kaidan_00_NC.pcc *will* mess up everyone else who wears the crew uniform.

yea I found that out. When I installed and did the textures it screwed up everyone. Guess I will try this again =P

*wince* Yeah, I've done that more than once myself! XD. I personally install Ottemis' HD crew uniform textures over the messed up ones, then redo Kaidan properly. Makes everybody look good

I followed these instructions (the only available options were HMM_ARM_CThb_Nav, so I unchecked all in the PCC tab except for BioH_Kaidan_00_NP.pcc in each file's list), but when I pressed the Install key, it said no mods were installed. Looking at the log, it gave an error saying "Export is not correct class or name!" with each of the three files.

I'm not sure I've ever seen that error before. Hm. Well, I'd suggest trying the install from scratch, perhaps with a different outfit. Just be sure to use the Texplorer tree included with the mod, especially if you're using A Lot or other such texture overhaul.

In case it ever comes up again (I can't be the only one who makes these mistakes, right?)
Just had the exact same issue, and it took me a while to realize that I simply didn't drop the me3tree.bin in the EXEC folder, but in the ME3explorer base folder. Everything worked fine after I rectified that.

Thank you very much for all the new clothes for Kaidan! And for making them compatible with pudi0072000's ME1 textures.
    Love it!

I need help trying to install the textures. When I tried installing Kaidan's hoodie textures using ME3Explorer's tpf tools and launched the game after, it messed up the combat fatigues (I'm using Ottemis' HR Combat Fatigues) is there any way to install the textures without messing up the uniforms?

You have to be sure you only have Kaidan's files selected in TPF Tools or the textures will be installed over everything. The install instructions included with the downloads explain how to do it.

Is there a way to turn the grey Alliance hoodie into a DLC that works specifically with Voodoo's Bearded ME1 Kaidan? Manually adding the hoodie didn't change his outfit, and I tried to follow the DLC replacement instructions, but I'm really bad at this sort of thing.

EDIT: I found old instructions that said to use ME3Explorer v1.09k, but I don't know how to add DLC to the tree in that version. :X

so, I am running into the same problem as the comment below — I installed his BDU outfit with ME3Explorer, then did my a-lot installation...including Ottemis' HD crew uniform textures. Needless to say, this messed up Kaidan's outfit. So I tried reinstalling Kaidan's BDU outfit through ME3Explorer again, but it got stuck on the "searching tree for matches" step. I tried installing it through a lot but as you have established that messed up everyone else's outfit, so I reinstalled Ottemis' textures through a lot and am back to ME3Explorer to try to finish the process with Kaidan's BDU outfit. It has been searching for tree duplicates for almost 30 minutes now, and I have never seen it take that long (to be clear, this is after loading the .tpf and pressing "analyze with texplorer"). I did use the ME3tree.bin file included with the download. Any tips?

EDIT: Also, CreeperLava states in the a-lot description that using ME3Explorer will break one's game...is this the case with this mod?

Try reinstalling my mod completely after you've installed a-lot. And be sure to reinstall Kaidan's face texture as well, or he will have a black void for a face.

yeah dont use texplorer or anything after installing a lot bc it will break your game, you can convert tpf files to mem using mass effect modder and install using alot, it sounds confusing but its actually quite quick once you get the hang of it :) (i learned the hard way lol)

I might give those ideas a go, thanks all. For now, I'm just rolling with an HD version of Kaidan's original uniform, cause I managed to get remove this mod and get it to work. Thank you for the help!

If you ever plan on coming back to update this, will you consider using the other outfit from PoophairJones' mod?

I do have permission to do both outfits for him, so yes it is a possibility. I haven't had much time or desire to mod of late, however. If that changes, then I'll certainly be working on that outfit ;)

Anybody knows how to get the BDU work with ALOT textures? Kaidan looks fine, but all the other guys using combat fatigues look terribly wrong :(

You have to install the textures through me3explorer, not a-lot's installer. Me3explorer is needed because, as far as I have seen, there is no way to isolate the textures to just Kaidan using a-lot's installer, resulting in the screwed up uniforms. The two mods are 100% compatible, however, as long as you follow the directions in the zip file exactly.

To fix the uniforms, just use a-lot's installer to reinstall the uniform textures you were using and then reinstall the BDU textures with me3explorer.

Browsing the mods I came across this one. I'm truly impressed with the visuals provided by the screenshots.

As most of it is designed for Kaidan, would you consider adapting some of your work for MaleShep?

Specifically the Shirt and Jeans options for MaleShep's N7 Jacket would be much appreciated. The Jacket itself could stay as it is, combined with a black or red Shirt and a black Jeans it would be great.

Anyways, keep up the great work.

I wish I could endorse you more than once. I was able to make a hoodie dlc for Kaidan, as well as go in and change to the darker Kaidan textures (from the ME1 Kaidan mod) in all the others, as well as picking colors I wanted! All from following your directions under Misc Files. Thank you, thank you! <3
