17-4-2022: I've stopped modding the original ME3, but I've made a DLC version of this mod (way easier to install) for ME3 Legendary Edition. You can find it here: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/1061

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're having trouble installing these textures with ME3Explorer, please try the following:

    1. Make sure you have built a texture tree in ME3Explorer's Texplorer app, which includes at least the base game and the DLC mods you're using to install these textures (so either Femshep's Armory, the N7 Armour mod or both). You can add DLCs to the tree by using the "add DLC option", or by creating a new tree and selecting the base game + DLCs you want to include. Wait until ME3Explorer has finished building the tree (this may take a while depending on your computer).

    2. Open ME3Explorer's TPF Tools app. Load the .tpf files you want to install.

    3. Check all file boxes and use "Analyse with Texplorer".

    4. (Thanks to Kajana!) Run the Autofix. You'll find this option in the top of TPF Tools's options bar, and above the "Analyse with Texplorer" button. Either one is fine.

    5. You should now be able to install all files correctly by using the "Install Valid" option.
If not, post the issue below and I'll see what I can do.

Hi, I’m doing my canon run of the legendary edition and I’m on ME1 I was just wondering if you maybe had any intention of porting these armours to the LEME3? No pressure or anything just wondering because I love them, thanks for your work

Hi, sorry for the late reply but I'm currently working on a ME:LE version :)

EDIT: Done! Here's the Legendary ME3 version: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/1061

I tried to use this mod with Voodoo-Season's Ashley Armor for femshep and the N7 Armour mod. I get the same error in each case "Not found in tree". I am using MExplorer ver 3.0 and I have to mention that Autofix does not work for these files.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

PS: the texture tree is present and up to date.

Don't mean to sound like a newb. But i have tried to load the .tpf with MExplorer ver 3.0 and it says Not found in tree. What can I do to fix this.

If you're using Femshep's armory and/or the N7 Armour mod, make sure those dlc's are added to your ME3Explorer's Texplorer texture tree. This is necessary for the tool to recognise which textures you're trying to replace. You can do this by using the "add DLC" option in Texplorer.
Once those DLC mods have been added to the tree, you can then use the TPF Tools to install my textures, since the tools will now recognise the textures from the Femshep armory/N7 armour mod and they can now be replaced.

I tried adding the N7 mod to the tree and I got a list of errors and it wouldn't add it. I was able to add the FemShep Ash armors, the variations and the phoenix one but when I tried to replace them with the N7 textures it said they were 'not found in tree.' Not sure what I'm doing wrong but any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I'm not sure what the problem is but I tried to install the retexture for the Ashley Armor for FemShep but while the mod installed fine and showed up in game the retexture said was invalid and not found in tree. Again any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, it's been a while since I've used ME3Explorer to install texture mods, but I remember it installing fine when I built a fresh texture tree and added the DLC mods to it, and then installed the retextures in TPF Tools. That's how I think I tested it a while back to help Lilrene, at least. It could have been an older version of ME3Explorer.

I recognise your problem though as I've had many issues with Texplorer's tree, but I can't find the exact problem right now (not a lot of spare time at the moment, sorry). It could be that my mod isn't compatible with the newest version of ME3Explorer. I'll take a look at it soon.

In the meantime, I can confirm using these retextures work perfectly with Texmod (it's safe to use), but it might not be not everyone's cup of tea.

Thanks for the reply! I downloaded version 2.0 of ME3Explorer and it did a new tree. The N7 armor mod still had problems and wouldn't install and I couldn't add it to the tree. It had the same set of errors as with 3.0. However, for the Femshep Ash armor I only had to autofix for mips for the spec and it installed. So hopefully this info will help anyone else having problems and maybe to help you figure out the problem. I thought maybe the other mods weren't compatible with 3.0, and that might be the problem with the Femshep ash armor mod, the N7 armor mod seems to have its own problems. Be nice if these were standalone then not have to worry about the other mods.

Anyway, it is gorgeous! I did the version 3 the carbon black. Was totally worth all the effort to get it working. :D Thanks!

That's great to hear, thank you for posting your solution! I've had the same error when trying to add the N7 Armour mod to the tree, so I think there's indeed a problem within N7 Armour itself. I've made a new version of this mod that overrides Femshep Armory textures only, so that at least those can be installed without problems.

And I agree, the best option for this mod is to make it completely standalone, without having to override other mods. At the moment I don't have enough modding knowledge for that, but I'll look into it when I have the time :) I appreciate your feedback!

There's a N7 Armour only version of this mod now, so you can choose any texture variation to replace the Slayer (Ashley) armor from the N7 Armour mod. Check the downloads
