Hello, so I have me3 OT on origin and im using a gtx 970. I will be installing ALOT, but i am wondering if i need to install this first? only have a few extra texture mod for asari and armor. Which file should I download? Also my desktop doens't have an igpu so do I need the d3ll fix or?
Hi, You can actually set it up in any order, although I tend to do it last once I've confirmed the other mods are working. I would download the enb with sweetfx, it shouldn't require the dll fix unless you are unable to get it to start normally.
I recently updated a couple of my other enb with sweetfx's but haven't gotten to these ones. If you want to try my updated version you can get it here, place it exactly the same as this one. https://www.nexusmods.com/Core/Libs/Common/Widgets/DownloadPopUp?id=61&game_id=354 It's made for Half Life but all of them are generic and can be swapped. The only difference being settings files.
Let me know if you have any issues and if you need some help just say so.
problem with flickering textures/aiasing: https://imgur.com/a/5UhGmse https://imgur.com/a/0G5DQI8 https://imgur.com/a/dZoD6YC there is also some problem with shadows in the distance: https://imgur.com/a/6iJIqdI
Not common problems as no one has mentioned these issues before. But let's see what we can do. First May I have the mod version you are using from the downloads here. Also is this original game or are you using the new L. Edition? Also are you using any outside settings or mods besides this? And may I get your video card type please?
1.In general, the problem still exists even after I remove your mod, but maybe you know what to do to solve it.(enb+sweetfx v2.3 + updated preset file v2.4(not A) 2.Original, not Legendary edition 3.Some content mods + ALOT, and config from here(https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/552?tab=description) 4.rx 570
OK Are you using any sharpening from your graphics card? Sometime sharpening can cause issues like this. If that's the case lower the amount of sharpening used by the card. If it's not added to your card, check this vid to add it to your radeon https://youtu.be/MoBoSGKvnYM Then try adjusting the game settings that way to see if you can correct the issue
If that's not the issue. What you can try with the mod is to goto the sweetfx/preset/ folder and alter the settings file. Try lowering the LumaSharpen settings. Reduce the sharp_strength to 1.00 and see if it corrects the issue.
Changing the sharpness and other settings(like AA, Texture filterind etc) does not affect the problem in any way, reducing the LumaSharpen did't help either.
Sounds like it maybe an ini issue. When you installed the ME3 Graphics Tweak did you make sure to install the ALOT one and not the normal one?
Try this: Goto Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\Config and edit the GamerSettings.ini. Under [SystemSettings] Add or change the line DepthOfField to False, alter between true and false to see if that corrects it. If you have to add the line, put DepthOfField=False (True or False goes after the =). It will slightly alter the picture between the two settings, but may correct your issue.
I've been looking around and there seems to be an issue with the rx 570 and this issue. What it says to try is Goto the Radeon Control Panel, Choose Display 1st - Set the color depth to it's highest setting, normal is 8bpc, but check if your monitor supports higher. 2nd - Alter the pixel format, if on RGB switch it to YCbCr 4:4:4 or vice versa.
Hi, Did you try altering the smaa line? ENB Version - If Game appears dark and oversaturated. Open the sweetfx presets file and alter the SMAA line from 1 to 0.
If it's not that, then alter the effects lines in the preset file and that will soften the effects. The HDR line and Vibrance line Lower the Vibrance and Set HDR radius to 1.0 The effects are generated by the sweetfx, so you'll want to alter that.
Well the enb is not generating any of it's own effects, it is a proxy running the sweetfx through it. If you just want to use enb, it requires that you download the addition enb settings files. Depending on which one you are using of the 4 provided I can link you to the other files. The enb in use however only has limited effects, even with all of it's effects files.
There is no ENB specifically for Mass Effect. The burnout paradise and the others are substitutes that will work with ME. Here is the link for the burnout paradise. http://enbdev.com/mod_burnparadise_v0075b.htm Extract the files to the gamefolder but do not overwrite the two enb files that are already there. That's it.
As I said, there is no specific ENB for Mass Effect, just compatible versions that work with it. This is a directx9 ENB and can be used with other directx 9 games. But because it is not specifically designed for the game, I use the sweetfx to generate effects. That is why they are combined.
Hi, you can reduce glare effects by altering the HDR setting in the settings file. #define radius2 in the settings file effects white glare, lowering it will reduce the effect. In the enb versions, it's the settings file in the sweetfx/preset folder that you edit. The reshade version it's the settings file in the sweetfx folder. I'd think that would be the setting to use for reducing muzzle flashes.
Hey, when i launch with ENB & Reshade the screen with earth (before the main menu) is broken with earth being pitch black and the burning patches being squared. Clicking enter brings me to a blank main menu. Is there a fix to this?
Hi, are you using any other mods or just this? As well have you attempted to replace the enb with one from the alt folder provided in the download? Alternating between the other alternatives to see if the issue is corrected? Get back to me and I'll try to help figure out the issue if I can. May I also get your video card please?
Hey, me again :p I managed to get ssao-ssil work following your instructions, thx much for that :). Although i have question regarding the overall image. I think my game looks way to bright and kina too much glowy. Is there a way to install your enb with just the color saturation and ambient occlusion effect? I already tried disabling everything in SweetFx files but it did not changed anything.
EDIT Turns out that the glowy effect appears when i set ,,enable effects" to 1 in enbseries. Do you know if there is a way to use only ao effect from enb without any other effect? I tried disabling every one of them in enbseries (exept ssao) but that did not worked :/
Try replacing the enbseries.ini with the default one from the ENB download you have. Make sure to edit it to enable the proxy lines. Then check the effects listed to make adjustments.
I use a generic one that may differ in enb effects when all the additional files are added, and placing the default file for that specific ENB may allow the effects to work properly.
Hello. Got a quick question, does your enb have some kind of ambient occlusion shading? In my previous playthrough i tried enable it via nvidia inspector but the the effect was bugged and didnt work well.
Hi, you can enable ambient occulation in the ENB, but you must first download the other ENB files to enable the additional effect. The ENB being used is Burnout Paradise, download the other files here: http://enbdev.com/mod_burnparadise_v0075b.htm Extract the files to the game folder but DO NOT overwrite the existing ENB files, just add the extra files. Once you do that, edit the enbseries.ini and under [GLOBAL] UseEffect, set to =1. The effect you want is under the SSAO. This will enable several extra effects including that one.
If you alter the ENB d3d9 to an alt, start the game it will give the ENB name and just download that enbs files and do the same.
Thank you for explanation :p Out of curiosity, have you tried playing with ssao from enb? Does it work well? The nvidia effect is broken due to flickering depending on the scene and i am wondering if the enb ao is not bugged same way. Thx again for reply.
ENB's AO is much better then the Nvidia one. AO does give the world a bit more depth but the cost is a lot more stress on the GPU, about 15 fps drop It's really a matter of if you can take the framerate hit, for what seems like a marginal improvement. I haven't had flickering ingame, but it's been quite awhile since I tried running it that way or played the game.
Okay cool, i always felt the game lacked some kind of surface shadows. I think the 1060 will handle it easily. Either way, judging by your photos the color correction itself is worth downloading :)
Hi, You can do that with the newest reshade, however the older versions do not support that. They will use alternate presets but you have to alter the ini references manually in order to switch from one to the next.
That would mean you'd need to install reshade, it allows you to have multiple presets, that can be switched in it's ingame panel. https://reshade.me/ I don't have a preset for reshade as a standalone, but you can get them here https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/ When selecting a preset it will say the versions, the ones mark reshade are for the newer reshade. As far as reshade tutorials, just goto youtube and search reshade setup, there are quite a few.
If you want to check my other mod, it's a reshade one and the setup information and video info is basically the same, but just for a different game. https://www.nexusmods.com/stateofdecay2/mods/65 It has two presets that will work with this game, just alter the game folder locations
When I use the 'ENB with Reshade and SweetFx' mod (including the additional d3d9.dll required for Nvidia cards), the Origin overlay stops working. While it isn't a major problem, given the improvement, I was wondering if this is known side-effect or whether it means I'm doing something wrong? Thanks.
Hi, The issue with the overlay can occur with Origin. It is a known issue, and I haven't figured out a workaround for that one. I believe it's because the ENB is older and Origin has never adjusted their overlay to work while using it. It doesn't cause any issues otherwise.

deleting sweet fx? or just installing plain enb? or maybe just tweaking the settings?
thank you
