Just one question: Can I install this mod if I already have ALOT and other additional textures installed?

Trying to figure out what ending mod/s I'm looking for. Does installing just this, with the start blocker mean it plays out like a flashback? Because that would be perfect if so.

By just using this mod and not CEM blocks the Citadel DLC start until after the credits and I think the goodbye goes to the main menu.

Just want to say thank you for this mod. After trying all of the other ending mods only to be disapointed in them leaving me stuck with blackscreen, I tried this one and it WORKED PERFECTLY!!!!! took me right to the citadel after the credits. I would endorse it again if it would let me.

Glad it worked. Annoying about the black screens because... those are also probably my mods. Crazy since it's the same method to get it to work. Blarg.

Do you need to have the Citadel DLC already purchased for it to work, or can it work without having ever purchased the DLC before?

You do need the Citadel DLC for this to work.

    Hello deager,

So, I tried this mod as a solution to JAM's black slides. I have tried it once before, but the game failed to make a proper transition so I got a Level 1 generic John Shepard entering the apartment.

I tried this just now, but unfortunately the game returns to just before Cerberus Headquarters after the ending instead of starting the DLC.

I am using CEM Full and *not* using the "Delay Citadel DLC" option (which would be redundant since I am using CEM Full, right?).

Is there a fix to this, or can you take my character to the beginning of the Citadel DLC? It is super disappointing to go on a full-modded playthrough across the trilogy just to get stuck with ending conundrums hahaha.

Right, CEM Full negates the need for "Delay Citadel DLC."

Sometimes a person can reload an auto save just before the transition (either the conversation with TIM or the "choice" after the starkid conversation.) But, if that doesn't work and doesn't transition, just fire me a link to the save file nearest the ending via a PM here.

I did try reloading the latest autosave (just after TIM drops dead) a couple of times but the result is the same: I return to the Normandy bridge after the ending. It's the vanilla behavior, almost as if the DLC_CON_ECtoC didn't exist (it does, by the way).

I appreciate your offer, it's above and beyond your role as a modder. Please, take your time: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xs2guq6vj9s6v6m/AAD_HMvbX5oo8QR3V3e0l3lMa?dl=0

The latest save is "AutoSave" I believe (after the TIM conversation). "ChapterSave" should take you to right before Shepard's rise through the Citadel beam.

Oh, I am dense on this. If you're using JAM and got the scene with Shep alive at the memorial scene, then this won't work with JAM. This is only modding the 500, 710, 720, and 730 files. But JAM would be using different files.

Now, out of curiosity, did the slides play properly in JAM this time? And if you install JAM to CEM do they not work properly?

      To clarify:

First, I used JAMvB, CEM Full/Goodbye and JAM to CEM Full. Not only did the slides get messed up, but they also froze in black just before when the Memorial Scene was supposed to kick in.

Then, in order to continue my playthrough (since JohnP is gone, and I had no idea if it is BackOff, CEM Goodbye, Project Variety or PEOM who is messing things up) I tried Extended Cut to Citadel *after uninstalling both JAMvB & JAM to CEM Full*. So I can't say if it is JAM to CEM Full that is messing up the slides, but I will be glad to test it out for you.

The vanilla slides play perfectly, and so does the vanilla Memorial Scene. Only I return to the Normandy bridge instead of starting the DLC.

Was PEOM installed the entire time? I know that it changes the final scenes but I think that the new installer does have a checkbox for JAM. If PEOM was removed during testing then I'm not sure. I'm also not sure how much Project Variety touches.

PEOM was installed before starting Priority: Cerberus Headquarters. It has remained in place, and with the JAM checkbox properly checked.

OK, backing up because I'm forgetting which mod we're on. Extended Cut to Citadel DLC won't work unless you have a non-high EMS Shepard. Because none of the JAM ending files with Shepard alive will work since this mod doesn't touch them.

I'll see about that save you sent my way to get you into the apartment.

Would just like to say really quick, Jam VB is known to have the black slide issue. vA works much better.

Yes. Here are the instructions from the installer.

If you installed the original credits version, simply go to your Mass Effect 3 install directory\BIOGame\DLC and delete the DLC_CON_ECtoC folder.

If you installed the Malukah or Faunts version
      1. Go to your Mass Effect 3 install directory\BIOGame\DLC and delete the DLC_CON_ECtoC folder.
      2. Go to you Mass Effect 3 install directory\BIOGame\CookedPCConsole and confirm Wwise_Main_Menu_Streaming-orig exists.
      3. Delete Wwise_Main_Menu_Streaming
      4. Rename Wwise_Main_Menu_Streaming-orig to Wwise_Main_Menu_Streaming

If you installed the Delay Citadel DLC option, go to your Mass Effect 3 install directory\BIOGame\DLC and delete the DLC_EXP_DELAY folder.

I fully accept that this is because I’m just not very bright, but I’m having trouble understanding what this does that CEM does not do... it seems that the latter does what I want; basically just play through ME3 mostly as it is but use the party as the real ending.

Right. It's existence is really two-fold.

One is that some players use the Citadel DLC as their farewell but don't care for CEM. This just gives them a slick transition.
Two is that some players have a head-cannon to make any of the endings work and still have Shep and company live. Doesn't make sense to me (except maybe Destroy) but it is what it is.

Thank you for your reply. I think I’d be happier with CEM. Can’t wait to try it.

Is this compatible with an existing playthrough? JAM bugged on my laptop and the Extended Cut is still better than MEHEM/LIME, in my opinion.

I also wonder: can we dream of a non-Catalyst version in the future? Basically, like JAM (no choice, always Destroy) but without the Catalyst room or the memorial scene.

Yup, as long as you haven't gone up to have a chat with the starkid, it should work. At the worst, you should have a chapter save where Shep is waking up from getting shot by the Reaper.

I don't plan to tweak the endings anymore myself. It sounds like you want a cross between JAM version B and a little bit of LIME - WWP. But yeah, I don't think I'm modding anymore new stuff at this point.

Used it with LIME, was a bad idea right?, mostly based in the fact that after the bioware message it brings me to the last auto save before cerberus base

Yeah, no need to do that. If you were using LIME-WWP and want it to work with CEM, then use the LIME to CEM transition. If you were trying something else, let me know.

By the looks of it, this mod will let me assume direct control of the Reapers and then play in the Armax Arsenal Arena for all eternity.

    It's what I've always wanted.
