I fully accept that this is because I’m just not very bright, but I’m having trouble understanding what this does that CEM does not do... it seems that the latter does what I want; basically just play through ME3 mostly as it is but use the party as the real ending.

Right. It's existence is really two-fold.

One is that some players use the Citadel DLC as their farewell but don't care for CEM. This just gives them a slick transition.
Two is that some players have a head-cannon to make any of the endings work and still have Shep and company live. Doesn't make sense to me (except maybe Destroy) but it is what it is.

Thank you for your reply. I think I’d be happier with CEM. Can’t wait to try it.

Is this compatible with an existing playthrough? JAM bugged on my laptop and the Extended Cut is still better than MEHEM/LIME, in my opinion.

I also wonder: can we dream of a non-Catalyst version in the future? Basically, like JAM (no choice, always Destroy) but without the Catalyst room or the memorial scene.

Yup, as long as you haven't gone up to have a chat with the starkid, it should work. At the worst, you should have a chapter save where Shep is waking up from getting shot by the Reaper.

I don't plan to tweak the endings anymore myself. It sounds like you want a cross between JAM version B and a little bit of LIME - WWP. But yeah, I don't think I'm modding anymore new stuff at this point.

Used it with LIME, was a bad idea right?, mostly based in the fact that after the bioware message it brings me to the last auto save before cerberus base

Yeah, no need to do that. If you were using LIME-WWP and want it to work with CEM, then use the LIME to CEM transition. If you were trying something else, let me know.

By the looks of it, this mod will let me assume direct control of the Reapers and then play in the Armax Arsenal Arena for all eternity.

    It's what I've always wanted.

You are correct. Fan-fiction may not be the best fiction but it's maybe the most fun.

Just curious, is this mod is compatible with MEHEM?

It's not, but you could install the MEHEM to CEM transition mod from the CEM page but simply don't use CEM itself. That would basically do the same thing by getting you to the Citadel DLC (with a slight change as if it's the end of the war) but otherwise would be like this. Usually people use CEM if they're using MEHEM and then playing the Citadel DLC but it's totally up to you.

    Hey, quick question about this!

I have JAM (version A), JAM -> CEM, and CEM Full currently installed. I'm confused as to whether adding this EC -> Citadel Mod would be redundant. I was under the assumption that CEM Full features a short cutscene that immediately links to the Citadel DLC after the credits, but it seems that this does the same thing minus the aforementioned short cutscene between the credits and the arrival at the apartment.

Basically I want to make sure that my game progresses from credits to flyby scene to apartment with the clone story arc being the first thing available. Do I need to install this mod to make that work or am I already good to go with the batch of installations I mentioned at the beginning?

Thanks for being so active with this (and doing a big part to help rescue ME3's narrative! You're awesome! *air five* xD)

Your gut feeling is correct; do not install the EC -> Citadel Mod. That would be unnecessary. Fortunately, even if you had, I set it up so the JAM to CEM files would have overridden the EC to CEM files. *air five*!

Sounds good my friend, but can I still do the extras in the DLC like the arena and the unique email meet ups with friends?

Yup. When you install it just don't install the option of "entire Citadel DLC." That way you can play what you want, finish the game, and then do whatever you have left in the Citadel DLC.

Heh, yeah. I get bored playing games. Now that I have a taste for serious hex editing, modding ME3 and maybe even ME2 more, is more enjoyable.

      It may be a late reply but;

Good, I hope to see many more mods, or updated mods from you. They're simply amazing!
